W3C - Awards for October 2024

All awards were paid today.
both sol awards and gold coin awards.

starting next month, we will increase the amount of sols paid to the nr 1 player in each world.

the number of awards might be reduced a bit.

We will publish more details in the coming days.

The potential amount for the sol awards will increase.
but not all players who win awards, have a wallet.
They receive their awards in gold coins.

Hi,

I received 0,125 SOL. Is that for only reaching 1st CEO on KB, or does that include all the other small awards as well?

To be clear,
I'd rather receive all of my awards as GCs, but the pay out is bigger if I get get the SOL, convert to USD and then spend that in GCs. Even if more roundabout...

I did not receive my sol award for October. I was ranked No. 2 . My transaction history does not show any sols being transferred.

You always receive the highest award.
The same should happen to the gold coins award but I am not sure it is implemented.

starting next month, it will be 0.35 for first enterprise and 0.5 sol for the first country.

The SOL is now $ 150+
even 0.125 is more value than the gold coins award.

Please mail the gamemaster the name of the country and world where you were no. 2 and I will check.

sometimes, the rank at midnight of the last day of the month (EST)
can be different than several hours before or after.

Ah, so one only receives the highest award. Understood.

But, I think something is a bit off. My score penalty was of 15 000 points. The penalty for #1 Ceo is 9 000 points, if I am not mistaken. The additional 6 000 points penalty is coming from awards I did not receive.

Could you please correct me if mistaken.

You are right.
I am very sorry about it.

even worse,
there were three winners of sol awards on GR and all three did not receive the award.
by mistake, GR was excluded.

According to out list, made at the turn of the month, you were in place 4.

The three sol awards will be paid in the coming 30 minutes.

The score penalty is computed in this way because we are trying to make it possible for more players to win an award.
you get the full setback and the highest of the awards.

Can't say I like that. It really doesn't strike me as fair.

If it was "one reward, one penalty", that would be perfectly fine. But I'm getting a bigger penalty that propagates to all of my account for being good in one particular.

This adds the perverse incentive to ruin the score of all my other entities to avoid the penalties without reward, or to reduce the size of my account.

This creates a scenario where another player that is good at the exact same thing, may get the same reward with a lower penalty, because he only plays that portion of the game. And right now I'd place my incentives for players to branch out into other worlds and bump into each other.

Then again, I'm not playing for the SOL awards. But it does help keeping me active on KB, LU and TA.
