Yes, Andy. I was told that. General email to the GM email address. It was almost 9-12 mos ago.
in short:
it was long term no, but in a short term yes.

It just stated people were given some liberty for a small amount of time. In case of mistakes.
If that has changed then cool.

Hey roving eye, perhaps you need a new sign. seeing that Neddity, Kildare and other players use the same sign. I't might be better to get a way from the mess it might bring.

just some ideas from other games on how to combat multi player accounts
1) dont allow interaction between countries (Aid) for a certain period of time so people cant just quick make an account and start sending assets to their main
2) make a requirement that only stronger countries can send aid this will discourage multi playing as people will actually have to build up a country first
3) actually enforce the rule send a message to everyone to close multi accounts and then start canceling i think multi accounts are the single biggest detriment to the game but i dont fault people who use them because the rule is very unclear because its not enforced and because you cant actually send country to country aid
4) also have a shared IP option
5) You could also give the SC a use so that they have to vet every players aid transfer checks IPs and what not i really hope the GM works on this k

Add icon somewhere to show does user share IP with someone else just yes/no you don't have to show with who user share IP.

In the past , there were possibilities to send easy aid from one acount to another and we have found a lot of fraud, following that trail.
we also have tools that give us a lot of data on multiplaying or transfers of assets..
we have removed many such accounts, also very recently, we get reports and follow them.
we are however not trigger happy as errors made by us are hard to repair. we want to be sure.
tell me how you move 10T from one account to another? it is not very easy. not by selling countries back and forth, and not through "External Transactions".
multies can setup some corporations, contracts etc. you don't need a second account, you can do it in the empire and it is much easier to transfer assets.

Not if your a free player also multi accounts are helpful for cooperative defense but there's not that much war anyways

Silly? Yes, but an effective tool for I know of at least one or two players who do this and have gotten away with it. This game is more than just a game to them, and they ARE technically savvy to get past your searches and what you have in place for finding multi account players.
The "free" account option was like a BONUS day for the game abusers when that started. Now they don't have to pay money to do it. And you have players like Ian Cameraon who have different accounts, one in two different worlds. Does the multi account rule not apply to free accounts as well?

@ LilTit hopefully your comments will be taken on board so Veteran players like yourself, Roving Eye, Crafty etc, can enjoy the game more without having to put up with "crap" from certain players or comments made towards you by people in chat which I have noticed has been the case over the last week or so. Maybe Andy should get ALL players NEW and OLD to confirm their bank card details etc so that each account can be confirmed that it IS NOT a Multiplayer. I wouldn't have a problem doing that and I don't think other players would if they are genuine, what do you think?

Tbone, I don't hate free players at all. I have stood up for them consistently when the older players try to smack them down for being naught in the game. I think free or paid are important to the game. My comment above was only that those players who abuse the game use free accounts to foster their bad game play by creating chaos and a false sense of power in the game. It's like everything else in the game that was great and has gotten taken away. They are the cause why the game has changed, why we must all suffer.
