Corporations missing

yeah well Andy changed his mind John so shut up... we are at the mercy of enterprises country controlled public corporations are obsolete.... i have a thriving country controlled public economy very profitable and flexible but any old CEO maybe even a multi can come in buy all my corps and then set production to 10% and there isnt a damn thing i can do about it according to Andy

Andy, Like lots of others I have CEO corps that just disappear and I have no idea who it was or why. And the newspaper doesn't seem to capture that information because I check there. The most recent disappearance was April 3469 on Kebir Blue in Republic of Carolina. Can you check and tell me more about this missing corp as this has happened several times before. Also wouldn't it be better for the game to generate a message to us when any corporation is closed in our country that the president didn't close? This would be helpful information in the management of our countries.

I agree Jack, that's exactly the kind of message I am looking for as the newspaper is not as in your face as an email/msg is. I check messages far more often than the newspaper. Besides as president I want it in my face not in the newspaper that my company is bought or closed. I have lost many thriving companies for no apparent reason whatsoever and it would have been nice to know what the heck I was doing wrong. So once again I set up another and get my production contracts all set up to lose another mysteriously. Its a pain and not exactly inspiring me to play.

Dacman, I have lost some more since then and none of them have been listed in the newspaper. This happens to all of us but it sure would be nice to know what happens in our own countries.

Andy, This one thing would be so helpful. We get notified by a message when a CEO wants to build or relocate to our country. So how about a message when they close or relocate a corp from our country? It is the CEO's decision but as president we should know what is going on in our countries.

Most of my corps that have gone missing were state owned. I had a Factory Maintenance Units corp. that I managed to acquire through Nationalization before that was taken away from us. I had all of my corps. intertwined selling to one another such that I was nearly purchasing 100% local for everything. Suddenly my state corps. started disappearing, no notice nothing and all my supply contracts got messed up. I have been a profitable country for some time and most if not all of my corps that went missing were good an healthy. I suspect aliens abducted my corps.

Corporations never disappear.

They are either closed or bought and there are clear messages about it in ALL cases.

If a corporation is in a bad financial situation, there is a tag next to its name, on the list of corporations. It appears there many game months before the corporation is closed.

in addition, there are messages on the corporation page explaining the status, showing warnings if the corporation lack workers or raw materials.

People claim this from time to time, but our logs show exactly the reasons and it just never happens.

moreover, if you keep track and check frequently, you can always prevent it from taking place.

Please just put it in OUR logs so we can see it happen too and you will get rid of all of this confusion.

Lost 2 more state owned corps in last 24 hours no notice, no email, newspaper, nothing...I have to try to remember which one they were.

Can you please tell me where it is and help me instead of getting mad at me? My gosh I checked every newspaper for last 12 game months and I see nothing. Where am I supposed to look? I did not see that in MY view of it. What month did it occur?

Countries are not in the business of trading shares. Enterprises are.
A president can decide to take a corporation to the stock market or sell it. The president can also decide to keep the corporation ownership.
going into share trading is a different game and the domain of enterprises.

In simcountry, enterprises are the main traders of shares. Presidents can make money by taking some of their corporations public and if managed correctly, can increase their income and many do.

there are thousands of private and public corporations and the best accounts in the game have many such corporations.

they are able to run profitable enterprises and their corporations contribute a lot to the countries where they reside.

The is no secure business here. not for presidents and not for enterprises.
It is a game.

Corporate takeover is in most cases very profitable as there is a large amount of money paid to the previous owner.
try taking over some corporations from others.

OK Andy - tell me where this enterprise corporation went. Another one left in May 3474 in Republic of Carolina on KB. It is not listed in any newspaper - CEO corps that leave never are. I have other CEO corps that have left over the last few real weeks and it sure would be helpful to know who they are and what is going on in my own country. I know corps are never lost - these went somewhere - I just want to know which corp and CEO it was. Why can't a notification message be sent to us when this happens and tell us what corp it is.

Hey Jack, was on vacation when my Enterprises ran out so they had some time closing some corps, seems to be about 200 something of my 1000 so Chances are good some of those have been some of those I build in you country

But Andy, we still need some notification of when enterprise corps close. We are notified when a CEO wants to build/relocate in our countries. We need a similar message when they leave. It is their corp and they have every right to do what they want with it but I have a need to know the name of the corp and CEO involved. Thanks.

C'mon Andy you can't seriously expect us to browse through ALL the newspapers of ALL the enterprises that invest in our countries to find out what happenned! Isn't it easier to make a link so that everything that appears in the enterprise's newspaper regarding a corporation will also appear in the newspaper of the specific country where the corporation is based?

That country has corporations from 24 CEOs, not counting my enterprise. I have no doubt that it appeared in the enterprise's newspaper. I just don't have time to search all 24 for the answer. I read my countries' newspapers so if it was there I could find it. Christos gave a good solution. Please consider creating some notification when a CEO closes or relocates a corporation from our countries.
