It would be nice to buy some money with my coins

I bought a bunch of coins hoping to buy some money for my countries but there has been no money for sale for about a week. It would be nice if there was money back up for sale.

Have you thought of doing the space program work around?

or better the direct trading

Buying gc's with game money had been disabled for a loooooong time and will probably never come back.

Orbiter I disagree here is how I understand it. Tell me if I am missing something. I have game money(gm) I want a stealth bomber the only way to get that is with GC's I need gold coins. I trade my excess GM for GCs I then Buy stealth bomber.

I have stealth bomber I am happy
Seller has GCs(which can be traded for money boosters or buy other things) He is happy
Space feature is used so Gamemasters are happy

What'd I miss

The short story is the current sellers have more game money than you. If they could currently simply exchange their game money to gold coins, they would do so.

A bit longer explanation is that you would need to wait for a new kind of seller that would have to believe they could sell stealth bombers at a price to make a profit beyond simply completing the conversion. Prices would increase from current levels to make this viable.

Right now, prices for 25 stealth bombers run around 3 gold coins. At current conversion, 3 gold coins are worth about $100B where 25 of the high quality stealth bombers are worth over $200B. This would require sell prices of 8+ gold for the same bombers assuming a seller can be found.

Still waiting for the "ASAP" fix. I doubt they would permanently do away with buying game money. If they did there would be no real need for players to put real money into the game.
But I did spend $36 for a bunch of gold coins. It would be nice to use them sooner rather than later.

Aries I get what you say what you missed is if I havve more game money than I can spend but want something that is only sold is GCs how so I get GCs

I wish the gamemasters would explain what we should do once we have more game cash than we can spend. That makes the simulation unrealistic, and it makes having lots of game cash unplayable.

The last few posts I think move the discussion towards the real issue. It is not really an issue of more cash than it is possible to spend but more of a "nothing to spend it on" issue, in my view.

At least at the top end, if you have established your empire and have a consistent positive income you can start to stockpile things. The only products to buy that have a use other than attempting to make more money are military. The problem is that there are a number of game systems, such as war levels, that have made actually using this stockpile, unlikely. In this way, accumulated wealth and what you can buy with it has little perceived value.

What is needed is something that is purchasable with game cash that gives the player the ability to participate in some type of fun activity that rewards success in gold coins. This would be superior to a system that simply allows the conversion of game cash to coins and solve the real issue. My

Players who earn more game cash than the spending limit will keep accumulating cash. War will not solve that problem of a growing stash of unusable game cash.

Nor would CEOs or peaceful presidents necessarily want to buy military assets.

Aries you are on the right track. I am not one for your total war idea no offense. But maybe the answer lies if you have a lot of game cash being able to buy certian things hich you can sell for GCs

Evader, talk to some folks in your world, or make a post in trade/your world threads. Stealth bombers are also available for direct trading. You may be able to find someone to sell them to you for game SC instead of gold coins.

Madoff: If you earn more cash than your spending limit, you need more game entities, more countries, to gain access to more spending limit. I agree CEOs and peaceful presidents need something to do with their cash as well which is why I kept my advice general in the area of needing some type of fun activity to do with the cash. My suggestions were on the military side, which has the most ready game systems, but there is certainly room for a peaceful suggestion here.

evader23: You need to expand your idea. What is it that we buy with game cash? Who would buy it and why? and, is it fun? Also, what is wrong with the Total War idea? Chime in on that post with comments.

evader, what aries said, plus if you have alot of game cash, you can spend 30 GC for a CEO on FB, and buy SB yourself, and close it at 30 days, you'd probably get more than 250 SB for your GC

A player cannot buy countries or CEOs with game cash.

Owning more time-consuming entities or having more war clicking marathons are dubious solutions to the problem of unplayable game cash. More clicking chores would be a punishment, not a reward, for financial achievement.

Same old whinge years on from when GC were taken off the market...
