I was reading the posts of the GREF wars the other day . SC is nothing like it was back in those days. Although I'm not much of a war player, those wars produced a lot more interest, drama, camaraderie, and participation between players than we have now. I don't miss the warring much, but I do miss the activity between players.

Any idea the outcome CM? I know EC is gone recently... at least his last country on LU expired recently. Not sure how the rest are doing.

The camaraderie and participation are not gone, Christopher. WGC stays true to its ethos and, despite attempts to spoil it, we still help new players and foster trust and friendship in the game. Sadly, many long-standing players, who were part of our fed then, left the game as a result of having their empires stolen from them in this war. But, because of the way we play, new friendships are formed and WGC has more members now than we did then. We also have our own forum, which welcomes members and non-members alike, and where we all enjoy the camaraderie of helping each other do better in the game

Jo, I tried to join the WGC forums a week or two ago, but it would not accept me......kept refusing the special code at the end. I will try again soon.

I guess I was speaking more of the camaraderie on Golden Rainbow and GREF, which of course you and I are members. I'd like to see GREF return to some of it's roots.

Goth and Bill, sorry I highjacked the thread about White Giant with my reminiscing about GREF......I don't know too much of the history of WG. I think Jo answered your question however.

I do know that Jo, Homerdome, and I are still around with GREF on GR (I rejoined when I became active again last year).

The WGC forum has been getting lots of spammers so the code at the end has been changed. You have to miss out the first and last two letters ( XX I think ) Check the text as it has something about it.

IMO..The Unique is a pretty solid Fed...we are in the process of recruiting..Please be an active player..nothing major in terms of everyday playing, but 1 time a week to check on message and to ensure your country is operating properly. We understand people have lives and jobs.
