Air landings

I'd like to take a c3 with navy and air landings. Will the enemy interceptor attack my transport planes? Is sending navy fighters (with target defense missions) against military airports the good way to eliminate interceptor wings? Thanks!

Navy fighter are better than regular fighters, and pretty good against interceptors. It maybe only really feasible to do this at low war levels, though. I think it would be expensive tedious and slow to do this at higher war levels. The navy is so expensive to use for something like that.

The best way would be to just air drop an RDU and build and airport. Then just proceed on the ground.

I quit the game 10+ years ago and have just come back so bear that in mind. Unless they've changed the model no. It should be the same as any invading force it needs to attack something to trigger a defense response.
