Dividends question

When does a publicly owned corporation pay out dividends to it's investors? I note that the recent period for figuring out recent earnings is "longer than a year" from it's pop up tag.

Not sure if dividends are paid out monthly, quarterly, annually or any other way.

Any help greatly appreciated, on both my behalf, and that of my anxious investors.

Dividends are paid monthly by public corporations that are making a profit.

The devidend is per share and shows on the financial statement.
