lack of profit is often the underlying cause... im pretty sure profit is proportional to the value of state and private corps and in public corps profit affects the P/E ratio which affects supply and demand of shares which affects market price.... tax rate changes are often a culprit of value changes otherwise its likely a temporary thing.... newly IPOed corps often lose value aswell
