Unexplained offensive weapons purchase expenses (Kebir Blue)

Could anyone throw some light on as to why my country (VRO E A07) keeps showing year to date spendings on offensive forces (the one off costs of buying systems/ammo, not maintenance etc) when I don't currently purchase such weapons and what I have or recieve as bonuses are mothballed. I did have a corp producing a type of such weapon whose output was contracted to my country but this contract was terminated some time ago and no new weaponry shows in inspect forces. This expense is really beginning to bug me as I'm trying to run a tight ship on a small growing country and the odd few million here or there...Thanks if you can help.

New countries start with a small amount of offensive weapons. Why, I have no clue, but the Game Gods long ago decided that noobs should have just enough offensive weapons that they are deluded into thinking they actually have a functional army. LOL.

Dismantle all units, recall all garrisons, and you should get any offensive weapons in plain view so you can sell them for cash. The offensive ammo orders will stop if you do not have any weapons hidden anywhere for the ammo to be fired from.

If you are in secured mode, you won't have to worry so much about reinstalling the garrisons, though you may do so as eye candy once the offensive weapons are recovered.

Oh, sell them, duh! I too had them Inactive, because I didn't want to just throw them away.Selling them is a much better idea that just didn't occur to me. Thank you!

Is it possible to sell the bases fortifications, and airports? Freeing up workers would be even better than saving money. I guess I'll try it and find out.

can't sell forts and airports, I believe. Those must be scrapped.

Or kept for the distant day when they'll be needed.

OK, good stuff, and I'm presuming any offensive ammo the sold/for sale arms had for use, still stockpiled, shouldn't prompt further orders for more, so I could keep them for later use should I become aggressive (keep taking the valium), yes? And will these bullets cost me to store and maintain, I should imagine they would what with personnel for security and oily rags and bunkers to keep them in, but probably cost a fraction of weapon systems maintenance. Let me know if I'm getting this wrong please. You know it would be nice if I could get on my moral pedestal and say 'I'm not selling my weapons to you, such and such country' as I see one or two war mongers building massive armies on KB. Your probably better off selling them, then if you want to get aggressive produce your own weapons in national corps that produce 100 quality weapons and ammo. Its usually a lot cheaper to make your own weapons then buy them (if you don't upgrade), it takes some time to stockpile a decent amount though.

Unless your selling arms to a player that is planning on attacking you there no real dilemma selling weapons to warlike player. They will get their arms one way or the other. Might as well get a piece of the pie if theres money to be made there.

You can buy 100 quality weapons and ammo. Sell high quality and buy the cheap stuff. That way you don't have to own crap corporations.

How many corporations produce 100 quality product and stay running for long enough though.
