I am trying to improve my birth rates for my different age groups. Right now i only have growth in 4 or 5 age groups with the rest being pretty much stagnant. My health index is 245. My country is The Cuesta Soution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

The groups that show a birth rate are the 18 - 40. There is nothing you can do the get younger and older groups involved in making babies in SC.

Also, even though you have a very high Health Index, your death rate exceeds your birth rate. This is a limitation placed on countries with large pops for game play.

Yes. Truthfully, I'm surprised at how well you're doing at the moment with keeping your 100M pop country running.

The higher the health index, the fewer people die. However, this also causes your population to age, causing fewer workers to be productive out of that populace and your birth rate to slow dramatically.

This is programmed specifically to make high population countries either unsustainable or require excessive management (or both). I believe a recent game update seemed to indicate that 60M population was the threshold where the game considers you to have "excessive population".

Also, 250 special clinics is quite excessive. I have 5 in an 80M population country, and that number is quite sufficient to handle all that my population can handle. You could save yourself 400k nurses right there (and the commensurate number of doctors and senior doctors).

thanks Daelin I am trying to get a handle on this game and your advice is appreciated and noted. Can i just close the special clinics or am i stuck with them ? thank you very much for your help.

Just to expand on my statement about special clinics (more for new people, but it's still good reading).

Go to Departments -> Health -> Manage Special Clinics. There are 3 numbers of interest on this page.

Number of Rehabilitated Workers - This is the number of actual disabled workers that have returned to work.

The maximum number of returned workers is the LESSER of either "Number of Disabled that can be Rehabilitated (max)" or "Number of Disabled Workers" * 50%.

Once you've reached the maximum, it doesn't matter how many special clinics you have, you're not going to put more people back in the workforce.

I believe when starting a country, I typically bump up the number of special clinics up to around 20 - 40, to get it going. Once you have your max rehabilitated, you're just doing maintenance on your workforce (people die, new disabled peopl
