Security council grants (Kebir Blue)

KB is a very sleepy little world. there are only a few successful empires that exist there and most of us have been there for a long time. it seems though that every time someone makes a request for an untied grant from the security council, it's voted down. Currently, The Sultanate of Anzat has made a request and it's being voted down. i really don't understand this. this person has only one country and seems to be a good player. let's get behind him/her and help them out and while you're at it, if you need funding from the Security council please make a request.

I have been recently selected to be a member of the security council. I wanted to show my support for giving aid to any new, active player. New players shouldn't hesitate to ask for aid on this thread or on Laguna's thread. Thanks!

Today I sent a message to ten players asking if they wanted development aid.

Two of them have already replying, both agreeing. One of the proposals is already up for vote. The other player is Denmark and his country is Danish Republic of Scandinavia. Someone else will have to propose this 5T grant and others, while mine is still up.

The aid grants keeps the players who receive them motivated, along with providing some money to play. But a message is also sent to all players in the world and that beckons their participation. That is priceless.

I'll probably keep messaging players for two weeks. After that time, I just hope players will get the nerve to ask for the aid themselves.

My name is Smooth Drock and I recently started a country on Kebir Blue. I am still learning the basics but I'm coming along nicely. I've gained level 3 and look forward to advancing further. There is a resolution on vote right now for development aid for my small country and I would appreciate any support that anyone might be inclined to give. Hello, my name is Banedon Runestar and I recently won the election to the presidency. Etar is a small and growing country. I have recently put forward a request for development aid and I hope it is accepted.

I'm planning on building my country into an economic engine and advancing up the ranks. I'm currently making plans to deliver relief supplies to affected nations once I figure that system out and have some supplies.

GreenStarfish, I am a new member and have sent this message requesting your assistance in receiving development aid from the Security Council. I have built my cash to over 2 T earning from 20 to 30 billion a month. Since then I have been hit by an earthquake and have my monthly earnings have been cut in over a half. And still do not have all of the ramifications of the earthquake fixed yet. If you could give any assistance, I would greatly appreciate it.

i want to commend all the players who are voting "yes" for aid to the new countries that have been proposed to receive such aid. with KB having trouble keeping its head above water it's good that folks see the wisdom in helping one another. i also want to commend Green Starfish in particular who has worked hard at bringing these nations to our attention. keep up the good work.

Unfortunately, my time on the security council has ended. I have been getting a lot of requests lately, which is hopefully a good sign for the well-being of KB.

I have directed the players I couldn't help to message other council members. I hope the security council continues to step-up and help new players get established.

Such grim view. You all need to realize that KB isn't more inactive than the rest, but quite simply more silent. I find it easier to find responsive new players on Kebir Blue than on the other worlds.

Kebir Blue no longer qualifies as the most inactive. Little Upsilon I believe now has the fewest registered players.

Which considering I was contacted by a few more individuals today and after looking at their empires, it's probably past time to offer some basic advice that I've found generally works, but a new player may not be aware of.

#1: Shut off the in-game automation of tasks. Regrettably the in-game automation is inefficient, wasteful, and spends money on illogical choices. You're a human being, not a computer controlled country.

#2: Focus on education and employment first. These two will items will carry you farther than anything else on the road to being debt free. Lower taxes, improve education (a good goal is a 150 index), adjust education priorities, build corporations, lower taxes and post in the forums soliciting Enterprise development.

It never did.

Probably not, but there was that long period where the market was so stagnant, that it certainly gave the impression.

A plus for their shifting new players around to various worlds without choice, only drawback is that they left ol' Little Upsilon out.

KB still only just survives because I allow it to.

Looking for aid for Jackson Commonwealth. Last time I asked, the game would not allow. Now after 3 earthquakes and major damage to my corps and work force, I am in the worst financial shape since taking over the county. I have had to close down 10 corps because of casualties and lost 6 corps in the earthquakes. If someone could help, I would appreciate it.

I have been a member of the security council for a few months now and I always vote for aid unless the country in question appears to be spending much more on their military instead of building up their country through economic means.
