trying to find a fed worth joining on Lu

I been playing as long if not longer than most "vets" or so am told

I was mostly a loner but looking to share my wisdom on all fronts to those who seem worthy of it

Hydra is a paper federation. They are not even a real fed. anyways. Your best bet is to join War Ensemble.

Hmmm, I admit Im not the sharpest tool in the shed (maybe just a tool, LOL) but I dont understand why if Hydra is a 'paper federation' the NLUO would declare war on a 'paper federation'! Why such concern over a 'paper' federation?

We declared war because they declared war on us by even existing. The whole Hydra Idea started as a means to destroy the World Government. My federation is one of many federations in our government. The War Ensemble is a well established and well funded federation. Why did I not promote my own federation? We are currently going through a Chairman Election, and there is internal conflict due to ideological differences. I would not subject a new nation to this activity. So, lets see here... hmmm how could I take anything else from that ENTIRE quote other than you think that 1) Hydra is a paper fed, and 2) that its not a real fed. Words do have definitions and they do have meaning. Do those words not mean that?

My point is that if Hydra is a paper fed and so insignificant that you don't consider it a fed, why such hostilities? I mean after all if Hydra is in fact paper just ignore the little Hydra (which apparently isnt even a fed) members! True?

It is actually worse than a paper fed, it doesn't exist. Like your country and empire on LU, they don't exist.

This brings up a good philosophical arguement. Does a federation or organisation or collective actually have to exist in the place where it tries to exercise its influence?

Actually, no. The west, in its many convoluted groups of peoples such as NATO, UNICEF, UN, the various versions of Christianity and so on, tries to exert its influence over eastern nations that do not recognise their authority. Take N.Korea or China for obvious examples.

So, do we have these paper tigers or is the west a real force with influence? I know most would say the UN is toothless as are all treatises and alliances that expound endlessly to closed ears, but you have to admit, the 'paper' (for pete's sake, can we get away from that dang awful cliche?), the ethereal federations do have a lot of clout, regardless of where they live.
