Cash is the goal of business. But obviously, not everyone treats CEOs as a business simulation.

Some are more interested in the game mechanics that lead to higher levels, higher ranks, and GC awards, none of which have much to do with a business simulation.

Nor is it a business simulation to use a CEO to bail out an empire.

As noted, the purpose of market value is to get cash. Either from selling a whole corp, or from selling shares of a corp.

Share trading leads to cash.

Commodities trading leads to cash.

All roads in business lead to cash. Cash is king in the real world. But not for most in Simcountry.

Madoff, you are arguing something different from others on this thread. No one is arguing that cash is unimportant to which you are arguing that it is important. The questions is how to measure how successful an enterprise is.

As EO said, both countries and enterprises can commodity trade. So this is not the measuring domain for an enterprise.

Cash can be accumulated over time and generated from other sources throughout an account outside of an enterprise you wish to evaluate. A stock of cash, too, cannot measure the current profitability of an enterprise.

Trading shares is something I do quite a bit of and, again, in my country and enterprise. It can be an effective way to make money but is it the measuring stick for enterprises and how does one put a rankings to it?

Answer these questions and you will have a response to the current discussion.

The current discussion is CEO stats, not what countries can do.

Cash is precisely a measure of profitability, if generated by the CEO itself.

So your method of measuring the current profitability of an enterprise is?

If you deposit 150t into your CEO, then use that cash to buy high market value corps from Gamemaster Corps, and buy other assets, to become the CEO with the highest market value and most assets, does THAT make it the best CEO?

I think enterprises should be ranked by how cool their name is.

Therefore, I have the best. USS enterprise on KB, AND it's probably the oldest on KB, except for maybe Lagunas.

I don't have enterprises on KB anymore.
I allowed everything to get cancelled on KB, WG and GR and only kept one enterprise on FB.

So, they probably are the oldest enterprises on KB. I can confirm that for you, if you want.

USS Enterprise was bought from Spock Laguna, so that shows it has some history.
