Is there a list of states ranked according to production? Where is that?

14 game months left in August, and I have a 32 point lead. It's improved but mainly because Accordion has started dropping points and Josias isn't coming up as fast.

Production per capita has improved to just over 11,100.

If it's across the board that's ok, because I'm looking for high efficiency in comparison to other players.

Any tips to raise my production value? I think my ppc in The Republic of Brutillius right now is around 13000, assuming you divide the production number (868000000000 or so) by the population (65000000 or so).

Yes,

1. quit spamming the boards...
2. don't bother Wendy...

And remember to make sure you always follow number 2

Sigh...asking a question on a post about one of the post's subjects is not spamming. What you are doing is spamming, however.

I thought it was rather intelligent and sensible advice.

More practical in nature, this should be intuitive at this point in the game.

Accordion, I took a quick look at your country, and my first thoughts are back to work schools are definately needed. You've got 4m housewives that can potentially be put to work.

Also, special clinics and possibly a little higher wages.

GPE PPC Oct 2840 = 11,429 (192m)

PPC is 12% up in 10 days with a 15% rise in pop

#1 slot was achieved and just waiting for title. it's worth adopting a different strategy for the last bit of the month.

Since then, in the 4 days,

PPC is up to 11,721, up 2.6%, and

population is 196.3m, up 2.2%.

I have another bet with Lord Lee to have the highest score out of all our countries, and he has bet he will by christmas day.

Progress is on track still:

CPPC: 32,400 (up 1.5%)
PPC: 11,992 (up 2.3%)
Pop: 201.8m (up 2.8%)

Growth in population and efficiency is achieveable simultaneously. A steady strategy is the key to the success I believe.

Population is now expected to hit 230m by the end of Sep and not 250m, but 270m by the end of Oct.

PPC is predicted to be 12,600 rather than 12,000, and 14,000 by the end of Oct.

Well, I gave 400 salaries a go, and they tanked my income, so I ditched that idea.

My next question is: when is it best to add pop? After seeing you add all this pop, I added 6M to my main, 3M at a time, 6 months apart. I then had about 6 months of pop loss of about 600-1000 a month. I'm *guessing* that that pop loss was due to an ageing population...But when is it best to add pop to avoid this? Or is this just normal?

When you say "tanked my income", can you elaborate on the affects. The affects of higher wages take quite a while to come through. The graph for higher production of a corp due to increasing wages will show you this.

If there is any pop loss, it is due to any remnants of the previous game policy of reducing higher pops. I started after it had been stopped, so I have not had those problems, and see instant rises in pop from the next month. I wouldn't about any losses in your case.

I tend to add pop in a steady but irregular manner depending on my indexes and unemployment. It's a balancing act and one that you'll need to judge based on on your country's situation.

In terms of the tanking, I saw a dramatic drop in country profits for a while with no sign of improvement, so I changed back. I could give it another go if it helps, though, if I may ask, is there a cap on production? Because if there is, I may have already hit it, in which case higher salaries are pointless.

Staregies often take longer to show substantial benefit than the 18 months shown on the graphs.

Government salaries go up by 20% a month and corporation salaries go up by 3% per month. This is a long-term srategy and it will cost you over a few game years.

I understand there are caps on welfare levels for each game level. I doubt you've hit the cap but the higher salaries' effect on welfare and thus production will take several game years to bare fruit.

As Green Paws Empire has hit very high levels of population, self-sufficiency is not only a desire but a necessity. I won't elaborate further on this point as I don't want to give all my trade secrets away.

CPPC: 32,284 (down 0.4%)
PPC: 12,357 (up 3.0%)
Pop: 216.7m (up 7.4)

Efficiencies and populations are continuing to grow and are on track to meet the latest targets for the end of September.

Hey green paws just a heads up, if the GM decides to cap pop at a certain target beucase of what your doing you may lose alot from doing what your doing of having 216M in one country. If so you i know you will be pissed off. So just a heads up, you may want to finish off at 220 and go no further up and than start a new country and do the samw thing. but continiung to expand the pop may end up costing you inthe end.

I just took a look at your country....WOW

But you have a death rate of 3,042,789 and a birth rate of 121,411.

So it looks like you are paying around 2.4 trillion for population just to break even each game year. Does this seem about right?

158. Population in Simcountry [ top ]
The population in countries depends on several parameters and for a long time, we heard complains about population growth or rather decline.

The population depends most of the time on the number of births each month, and the death rate.
There are also other events that can change the numbers of the population, like war with many casualties, and also population purchases on the market and the sale of population. Migration can also change the numbers.

Death rates depend on the age group. Each age group has a different death rate and these rates increase with age and the highest age groups have a high death rate. The death rates also depend on the health index. The higher the health index, the lower death rates will be.

The population birth rates depend on the total number of the population in the country. The higher the population, the lower the birth rate becomes.

Thank you Blue, for pasting the game news I've previoously referred to.

@Q,
I appreciate your advice and your concern for my situation. I can agree, I would be rather disgruntled if the GM decides to cap the population in a country, especially if it is significantly lower than what ever my level may be. I only returned to the game because of the birth rate decline had been removed. At the moment, I intend to go much higher, aim for 350m by the end of the year.

@M,
thank you for your "WOW". The death rate you see should be the correct one, however, the birth rate is over 4m a year. If you check the 0-4 agre group, you'll see the birth rate is stable, with the exception of months where population is purchased. The figure of 121,411 is all but impossible if the 0-4 age groups shows over 16m. The birth figure of 121,411, I presume, is what the figure would have been under the policy of declining birth levels. I
