Sorry King. But I believe the foundation of NLUO was based on trying to even the playing field between newbies and veteran players. In a sense, that also means controlling the larger empires through means of entangled politics through the rules of the NLUO. Maybe if the vote was based on population I might be a little more interested in voting, after all we are supporting the sim peoples right? Lunatic seems to be a little less controlling, and just a means of getting people closer. I'm not interested in entertaining world government. Maybe something more similar to the United Nations. Or mutual protection for all empires signed.

See what I don't get is that you think you are unique King. I came into this game and pissed off some of the bigger players right away. I have never apologized and never looked back BUT I can guarantee that quite a few players in here have respect for me. Hell T O said he respected what I had built and it caught me in complete surprise that I had no clue what to say in response other then thank you. In this game you can piss on just about anyone you want as long as you do it respectfully. As it stands right now I have 3 people I would be required to answer to for my actions, Kevin Henry, Dubhthaigh, and Laguna (saved the best for last .) I would definately answer to others whom I respect such as Wild, Sam, or Barney if need be due to a long and generally good relationship with them.

the truth is, a "world goverment" is not needed, just a better mentor system.

in this game, their are "asshats" and those people, don't last long...

and their are people who have a difference of opinion,

asshats, create 20 threads, hoping some one will read one of them

people who are disagreeing will argue on one thread

asshats, will try to create a new system that fits their playing style

people who disagree will comprise, and find a way to co-exsist

think i can go on, but you get the point

World Government is need, and once you see the interaction, and fairness of it, you won't know why it was not put in place sooner..

I agree that terrorist isn't the same in game as out of game. It's like Bush calling Saddam Hussein a terrorist to garner support for war. Hez is doing the same against Stuart and others. As I said in my previous post, calling somebody a terrorist in game is different to personal attacks (or real life) of the same.

Maybe we are just having objections to terminology. Killing innocents to cause fear or submission = good case for immorality. Eradicating enemy combatants by strategy = weak case for immorality. My opinions of course.

My definition of the word 'asshat' is someone who plays the game in a way which is intended to either provoke a response from someone, or speaks on the forums in a way which provokes. Another definition could always be, Border C. After that last provoking and personally insulting message, I think it fits quite well.

This is what happened. You saw BorderC join SOL. You immediatley thought asshat and everything I ACTUALLY said on the forums was filtered to fit your presubscribed notions. Don't worry, it happens to lots of people who elevate ego over intelligence.

Nations with egos would not be able to join because it is set up kinda like simcountry as far as starting of with 6 million simpeople and growing.. You start out in their Masses Party with no power, and that is usually the nations just starting out on simcountry. The thing is - I know King isn't that bad a guy dude. I just wish he wouldn't try and force feed us all this NLUO stuff through the forums. I have spoken to him on MSN and in private chat on IRC - I know he's not too bad. I don't want to destroy NLUO - I just want him to chill a bit.
