The free play is to get people to get paid accounts. If you play free enough, and always run into limitations, you will eventually buy an account. This is the point of the game. To buy your way in the game. Free accounts have no say in anything in the game. They can't vote to make changes in the game or anything. They can't even have more than 2 countries. This is why when I came on I immediately make it my business to get a premium account. How can I as a player promote a world government, and I have not even bought into the game. So, Wendy is right on the money.

As you argue the right for Hezzy to post wherever and when he wants, I exercise that right as well. I'm sorry I will speak up and offer my opinion no matter who it is. It certainly isn't personal, which is how you take it.

As far as me sending an email, if you attack me on a personal level or any player, yes an email complaint should be made to the GM for such behavior is uncalled for. So as far as I'm concerned, the moderators ARE doing their job.

Now as far as this game goes, because you and I are on two opposing sides of the NLUO issue, I will on occasion have to respond to your posts. Therefore, I hardly call that trolling you. I'm just playing my game. I'm sorry it doesn't fall under how you think I should play it.

its obvious that you are not a peaceful organization. if you where, you would have found a way to compromise and adjust to other players wishes, and co-exist. you don't have to, of course, but the refusal, combined with the claim of authority, invites conflict

Actually, I am kind of happy that this thread started if the original posters idea is carried out.

It is in the LU forum, more importantly I think it is good that some policies of NLUO come to light to clear up their current image of dictators and aggressors, megalomaniacs. I encourage it whole-heartedly and I have asked for this openess before.

The only cloud here is, and I quote; "Ok Herod I will play along with your stupid debate." from Hezzy. He obviously doesn't want to say out loud his policies or doesn't know them. Seems Herod has some balls to come honest and open though.

Now I wait to see if there are any NLUO members out there who actually have any questions for either. The way these things normally go King Herod is for you to say your piece, allow Hez to retort and ask for questions after. Go for it!

This is my vision for the NLUO and the world of LU as a whole. The NLUO being a thriving governing organization for all nations of LU to be apart of in some capacity. I am going to lay out some goals I believe this government can achieve if we all work together for the betterment of LU through the political process. LU lacks any real international politics, and is limited to federations, common markets, and a Security Council. The forums are used by veteran players to teach new members, and communicate with other players on Simcountry. There is a public voting forum to use to help facilitate changes in the game. There is also a chat system for feds, common markets, worlds, and general sc chat. This is all fine, but this system alienates all new nations. It always keeps the big nations and empires on top, and everyone else dangling at the bottom of the food chain until they build their empires up. This is discouraging for new nations, and is the main cause

Politics: There are political parties for nations to join based on their personal ideology. There is an executive Branch, a tri-cameral Legislature, and a International Criminal Court. Through this structure all nations of LU has a voice and a stake in the forward movement of Little Upsilon. This is where the politics can grow from here. As nations are building their empires, they can participate in the government, learn how to play the game, and have interaction with other nations on LU whether they are a great nation or not.

Any nation big or small who does not want to participate in this system will not be required or forced to participate in this system. If the government is threatened by a non participating nation, then that nation will be considered a participating nation, and will be dealt with as such, who would threaten the government's existence. Outside opinions are not regarded because these nations should not have anything to say about our government because they do not want to participate.

Representation: Tri-cameral Legislature


Committee of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Regional Federations: There are 85 regions on Little Upsilon, and there is a nation who represents each region, and the federation of the nation who occupies the seat protects that region. Some nations have huge empires, so they will have multiple seats, thus giving their federation responsibilities for more regions of the world. There are 85 seats. This is how the power structure is built in this legislature. The more seats you have the more power you yield, and the more power your federation yields. This Legislature is used to bring proposals about domestic issues such as war, boycotts,constitutional amendments, etc..

Committee of Common Market Founders & Members: This also is a legislature with 85 seats representing the 85 regions on LU. The Common Market of the occupier of the seat represents, and does business with the region they represent. This will take time to facilitate. Also in this Legislature there are huge empires with huge common markets, so they will have multiple seats. This legislature is a mirror of the Joint Chiefs except is used for common market representation, and legislation. Only economic proposals are brought to the floor in this legislature.

Security Council: The Security Council is the glue of the Tri-cameral legislature. The Security Council must approve all legislation from both chambers before it is presented in the other 2 chambers.

The Executive Branch & the Checks and Balances: The Executive Branch is the administrator of the Tri-cameral legislature, and represents the NLUO world government on the International Stage. The Secretary General is the head of the NLUO world government, and the manager of the government. The Secretary of State handles diplomacy, and foreign policy, and regulates war. The Secretary of Defense declares the wars, and runs and coordinates all wars through the federations. The Secretary of Justice makes sure the executive branch follows the laws, and constitution of the NLUO world Government, and is the Attorney General of the LU International Court, and has summons power. The Secretary of Treasury handles the economy of LU, and regulates the common markets, and common Market legislature. The Secretary of LU Security Oversees the Security Council, and deals with natural disasters, presidential boycotts, and monitors nuclear countries, and threatening natio

So if we learn how to use these tool, and incorporate it into the game, you will be amazed at how fun and organized it is, and how interactive it is. I hope nobody has anymore questions about the government. If you do, join it. I have all of this understanding as to how the gov works, so it would be foolish to not re-elect me to help keep the momentum going. If you bring in this noob, King Herod VI, he will more than likely run this government into non-existence.
