IDC: notice of intent (Little Upsilon)

I had recently come to a verbal agreement with the new chairman of the IDC for a non aggression treaty. However in the past week events have unfolded that will possibly lead to reconsideration of that treaty.

Dear Chairperson of the IDC:

I regret to inform you that 3 of your members have acted unnecessarily blunt towards a new player. "Using nukes indiscriminately and without care for fallout or the result of their actions.

As a member of the security council, it is my duty to not only protect the community, but the new player block that will ultimately enter into our glorious world.

I demand compensation for any victims of fallout, regardless of who fired the nukes. As semi-seasoned players they bear responsibility for fallout, and could be the only participants knowledgeable enough to understand the use of these weapons and the repercussions of the use of these weapons.

I demand expulsion of these 3 mem

I can't see 3 key members of a fed being expelled.

Also, in light of Wendy conquering some of Lord Lee's countries a little while back while he was in the IDC, and then recent events, I see much egg on faces abound.

Wendy, most LU business is discussed at least soime time in a public space online. As an LU investor, I feel it is my business, without mentioning the enterntainment factor.

Lee was inactive for a short period and you conquered his countries while he was a member of IDC. I know this because he continued to the play the game when he stays at mine from time to time, and he showed me. So, you're right, not really a "war".

I was on Gr for 7 years and played a huge part in the politics and I take a great interest in my new home world.

A slight correction to be made. Lee didn't lose countries on LU, it was on GR, so it wasn't this fed covering his defence.

Frankly, right now, I am in no mind to evict these three players from the IDC. As far as I know, this war, as unfortunate as it may have been, was not unjustified. The problem in this war seemed to be the vote of the Security Council, which unfortunately passed without the assent of the majority of Council members.

I will be asking the three players for an explanation of their actions. I will also be asking them to pass on some compensation to countries inadvertently affected by the fallout. This will be a request, not a demand.

Although these players are members of IDC, this was a private war that occurred outside of the scope of my knowledge. I will ask that these players, as part of IDC, alert me to potential wars before they happen so that I can determine the federation's stance on the war; in the case of this war, I was informed after the fact; however, SSRCP did ask if this war was okay by me and the IDC as a whole, and I said

Sorry to double-post, but I just thought I should say to Wendy:

Our agreement does not give you a right to blackmail the IDC or its members. We will not be bullied by you. If you choose to break this Pact because you have decided that it is wrong to conduct nuclear warfare against a player, you will not only be declaring yourself to be two-faced in front of the entire population of LU, you will be breaking your word. Nowhere in our agreement did I agree that I would withhold the sovereign right of the IDC's members to declare war or use nuclear weapons. We are holding up our end of the Pact - thus, if you do choose to break the Pact, you have broken your word without any provocation whatsoever.
