NLUO's "Democratic" Elections

Yeah, no they aren't democratic.

According to Wendy, "You aren't a real member of the NLUO. You have proven neither your true membership status nor your loyalty, and as such, I will not be a part of an organization that has anything to with Tom until he as shown he truly wants to be a member of the NLUO."

Firstly, NLUO is open to all on LU. I am on LU, and thus have the right to run for election. Fact.

Secondly, since when has Wendy had the right to accept of deny the candidacy of potential "Secretary Generals"? Doesn't sound very democratic, but instead rather authoritarian. I'd like an explanation by King Heze about this.

So, LU, voice up. I am running for SG. Vote 4 me, so I can reform this shambolic organisation into something which actually benefits LU.

Explain please.

Also you are correct they are not democratic, I mean seriously are there 30 some people dumb enough to vote for Hez? NOPE. They used proxies then denied using them, not very democratic.

To be truthful, I did place some votes for Hez to keep it close and not so obvious how many votes I placed for each candidate. I was considering rigging it the other way this time though to see the rage unfold.

In that aspect, it is already corrupt. People can easily vote for their preferred candidate 100 times if they please.

But at the same, corruption exists in the higher ranks. King Heze, Wendy and Lord Lee are only allowing candidates who either are easily defeated or support their vision of NLUO. This isn't a world government; this is stupid.

I actually admitted it back when the election was still ongoing. Also you can vote for all of the candidates for a single office from one IP address.

and it is of course those that point it out, that are to blame... lol

you can vote from same IP many time just change browsers vote from firefox, then from IE...

The Elections are set up for 1 IP address, and you can vote for all or 1 candidate. Now. If you decide to cheat, and use more than 1 IP address, that is your business. The elections were and are democratic. It just takes some honesty, and integrity.

As far as you running for Secretary General Tom, I have no prob with that. According to the constitution, When a Secretary General resigns his or her position, there is an interm-Secretary General placed in the position, through the votes of the Members of the NLUO.

Indeed hez you say LU don't need Hydra, which ass long as NLUO is around we do need them in order to keep Nluo around, without Nluo Hydra would not be needed but even if you left they wouldn't disband as there would be no sense, plus you'd just come back.
Also, it's the majority of Bme that don't want Nluo around, and a large amount that don't want Bme members in Nluo, we had a poll on whether Gil should leave either BME, Nluo or both and 7 of the 8 that voted said to leave Nluo.

Perhaps adding some traditional USS Democratic Culture & Tradition into the NLUO would fix things up... It's the People's fault, if what Hez says is true, then there is corruption to be dealt with... sounds like what I heard somewhere in a quote: "In a Democracy, people get the Leaders they Deserve".
