I'm okay with the war leveling, but one thing it seems to have done is take away some of the "community" of the game and made it more like sitting at your PC dicing it out with an AI.

Yeah, that sounds pretty cool. A lot more contact between players. This is my second time playing SC as well, but my hiatus was only a few months long. So I've only experienced gameplay under the new rules. But the first time I created my own private common market and fed for my countries and had very little contact with other players. Got bored quickly. This time I accepted an invite to an existing CM and gameplay is a lot more challenging and interesting trying to collaborate with a bunch of folks.

Goth, my main issue was with the fact that I was insulted (or, at least, that I felt that I had been insulted) for no reason, when I was merely trying to help others figure out what was going on in this message. I admit that I did insult you back, I was condescending back to you, and I apologise for that.

In future, however, remember that the vets are here to help you, not to hinder you. This kind of situation could have been easily avoided if you hadn't insulted RCP/me or if you'd just cleared up your point when we first asked. You could have just said "This post was only meant for members of my common market, sorry," rather than going on the attack.

I just ate 2 burritos while reading this. They were good, carne asada. This has been quite amusing, but I have a few questions. Is there really a LU dictator? If so, who is he/she? I'd like to send this person a car directly out of somebody elses factory. I don't want to be on the pointy end of a nuke. But, all in all, it looks like everyone is getting along. So, how about that economy on LU. Crazy, huh? I'm sick of my corps page these last couple of weeks. The LU economy is definitely on the wild side lately. But a lot of people are stepping up, building more corps to try to help. Accordian and Gothamloki are doing their part, obviously.

The flip side is there's some outrageous profits to be made right now if you have the right corps.

Well, outrageous under the price control economy we labor under. That's another thing I think has changed since my first trip down the SC lane, I don't recall any cap on prices before.

Ah, well. Things seem to be stabilizing as far as the long term econ outlook, but it's going to take time to ramp it all up.

If you're running a country I think theres 2 best ways to get out of the economic crisis. 1: sell all of your corps in your country or close them down and let somebody else like a CEO deal with the shortage problems. Or 2: Be a lot more self sufficient with your corps like relying on yourself which is hard to do rather than those common markets as the price of goods are often worth a fortune. Im still thinking which way to go with this.

I'm just wondering if friend Gothamloki might not be an old comics book fan. "Gotham" definitely comic book city. I vaguely remember a comic character by the name of Loki.

And the language (well explained) just reminds me of an early Superman character, Mr. Mxyzpytlk (or something like that), who was a mischievous imp from another dimension who sometimes escaped to this dimension and gave Supes hell. Only way to send him back was to make him say his name backwards.

So..., I'm wondering if we make Gothamloki say that Arith.. thing backwards, will he discover another dimension for us? One where my Pharma corp can maybe make some money?
