MM, you CAN transfer money from one country to another.

Go to the My Empire menu, then transfer money. Select the country to receive the funds, then you will be prompted to appropriate the amount you wish to transfer. To save yourself from having to add tons of zeroes, you can use M to denote million, B to denote billion, and T to denote trillion...i.e. three trillion becomes 3T.

Panic is not required :)

EDIT TO ADD: Population bids are far more likely to be accepted if you bid directly from the gamemaster...those auctions close in a half hour or so, and the gamemaster periodically adds offers for pop.

when you're on the bid for population transfer page, look for stuff like this on the bottom of the page

Positive net assets? Isn't that standard just a little harsh? You would vote against aid for a country with 3T in debt, yet 5T in state corp market value, thus 2T net assets?

I find that position to be particularly extreme.

if they have 5T in state corp value they arent a total n00b anymore keith. thats quite a lot. you start out with at most around 2T in state corp value for most any c3. many much less than that.

I agree with Keith. A new player shouldn't be penalized simply because they have a clue of what they are doing. I think having positive assets is an even better reason to support that player's growth.

I voted of course to support it. Seriously, he's a new player and meets the requirements. I never stated a player had to have debt in my requirements so I don't have any problems with giving away free money. If anything, it will help him that much more to improve his country.

Can I just make the security council aware of strategic aid voting please? Kingasia is offering 5T of SC aid to King Hezekiah, who has in the past already received 10T in aid. This president will use the cash to increase his military to attack members of what he calls, The Axis Forces. There are many mentions of this on the forum.

I don't think it is all that difficult for a player to build enough corps to create an overall positive net asset amount. This does not mean they shouldn't receive aid. They could have built too many corps, gone into debt, and then can't build the infrastructure needed for the corps.
5T is a huge help to a new player who is willing to invest it in education, roads, and hospitals. We should not punish those who have done modestly well.

Saw that and voted NO to that abuse of power by Kingasia. Till my time is up on the SC, I will vote any suspicious proposals by Kingasia down.

Jeez - this guy is just using the SC as a bank for his friends. Something needs to be done, or else we will have 2 RL months of this.....

If he carries on, I will assist any SC member wishing to take military action.

It wouldn't be so bad, but The Land of Birds has 6T in military assets whilst being 2.7T in debt. Where do you think the money will be spent? Schools, hospitals and transportation? No - it will go on further military development.

Its the same story with United Israelite Empire. He is 6T in debt, but his military assets are also 6T.

LU,

First, I would like to point out that LU is the only world with a fully functioning security council. Not only have they, along with the LU community, passed dozens of resolutions to aid new players, but they also have stood firmly against abuses. The current abuses by Kingasia are the perfect examples, as all of the proposals have been stopped before even reaching General voting. Our security council has proved that it is committed to helping the little guy and ending abuses. I applaud their victories!

Secondly, Security Council abuse is a pet-peeve of mine. I would fully support military action against Kingasia, if he refuses to stop the nonsense proposals.

Well i guess you guys convinced me. I just dont like voting for aid for people who dont need it, since they're not in debt. There are tons of presidents who are truly poor and need the 5T. The issue is i think that, most of them dont even know about this thread so dont come in to request....

I will put up a proposal of aid for Yooperland once the financial and strategic indexes are made public (I.E. Step 1 of my requirements). For the most part, everything else looks to be good.
