Peace between the UC and LDI

Hello there. Firstly, i request on behalf of respect for the game that only involved people post in this topic - members of the UC and LDI on LU. Verbal attacks and snide comments should also be left outside.

It is apparent from all aspects that the conflict between the UC and LDI on LU has gone on far too long. Many of the flame wars on this forum can be seen to stem from it, and in game collateral damage continues to grow.

War is an aspect of the game, but it appears to be becoming a pathological obsession between the players involved. Thus i propose we consider a meeting in IRC or on MSN, to discuss the terms of a peace treaty. This Topic could be used a preliminary bed for discussion on the matter.

The time seems perfect- Sam and others have expressed their boredom with the ongoing conflict and Dirt appears to be leaving. It is in LU's best interests that the war end. I, on behalf of Valde Subsidium, would be happy to mediate this discussion, naturally another can be chosen if desired however.

I am not posting this out of ego as i will most likely be accused of, i write it just as a resident of Little Upsilon who thinks this is the desire of the overwhelming majority of others.

Yes, I'm about gone for awhile (Jan 6) but I'll say my piece here and promise to keep it clean out of respect for the thread starters wishes.

We all know the details with my involvment. My only request to the LDI, which has been the same all along, is for each of the LDI members that bush-whacked me in the begining, to sell me 1 country of equal value to the ones they destroyed ant took from me. WildEyes has already offered to sell me 2. I want 1 from Barney and Jason. Sam wasn't a part of the original assault so I won't hold him accountable. Each country was worth appx. 500 gc.

I am only speaking on my own behalf and not for my fedmates demands. I am indeed on retirement mode and may or not come back into active play. 1 thing is certain tho, if I do come back as active I will have a clear cut mission if my demands are not met, even if its a year from now.

If so, it would only be fair if you offered the same recompense to the LDI players.

I have been speaking to LDI members on MSN. They are awaiting a response from all members of their federation before making a decision on anything.

In the meantime, I would like to suggest a cease fire on both GR and LU, while terms are drawn up.

LDI have agreed to carry out no further attacks whilst the cease fire exists. They have stated that they will return fire if any is received though. Diz, Dirt, Nute; I ask you all to observe this temporary cease fire for a period of no less than 72 hours from 0000hrs GMT.

Dubby, there is NOOOO UC on LU the charter prohibits it. And yes i am involved until soemone from UC tells me or asks me to leave I am in the UC and have been for quite some time.

I never gave you a country in the past dirt due to the fact that dizzy was preping for war and nute was continually declaring on me for months. i simply could not give up my income in time of war.

it was funny that i only came on the thread to agree with a peace deal which is funny at the least. Sorry but someone has told me in mot in the UC or seems to think so. So as is, i will continue bombardment of ANY LDI nations out of wp indefinitely. This policy does not affect any peace deal agrered upon by UC members, as the public seems to know more than I that I am in fact NOT IN THE UC. Any agreements made by UC ceasefire i will adhere to as my countries hold membership in three distinct branches. Until i am asked to leave I will act as a UC member on GR but LU is open game. **** you all espeacially dubtauhg whatever ya name is.

LDI's terms are as follows.

1.We do not acknowledge any status other than Cease Fire. First Wendy is not involved in this process and any participation by her is unacceptable to our members.

2.Second Nute will derreg any countries adjacent to LDI countries. Ss long as no new declarations are made LDI will derreg countries on CD. He has already been compensated and no such demands will be entertained.

3.Third any such future moves or war decs will be seen as a violation and be met by force

4.Fourth LDI does not acknowledge any financial demands as the combatants have had excess time to recoup any such losses in the extended period of time that has passed. Dirt collected numerous inactives and sold his LU holdings to enemies. As such we reject any such demands.

5. Fifth since Dizzy has continually escalated this conflict into financial areas as a hostile bidder he will leave LU as it is the business world. Without his departure this Cease Fire has zero chance of success.

6.Sixth LDI will compensate any President or CEO impacted by fallout other than combatants irregardless of who preticipated such an event. As is our standard policy.

7.Seventh. JohnL may remain if he so chooses we will deal with him as needed.

8. Eighth. Non involved UC members are not affected by these terms. We will deal with them as fairly as possible on an individual basis.

You know man, if you woulda sent me a letter WEEKS ago like that things woulda never gotten as far outta hand between you and I, the rest of the LDI as they have. A lack of communication has led Sam and I down a path of verbal butchery that we will never recover from. As far as I knew I had been duped and lied to. GRRRR.

And my countries were worth $50 or so dollars each. All had 50T in military and were turning between 150B and 250B monthly. All I want is a country that compairable to that. 1 from you and 1 from Jason and we are square.

I didn't do enough damage to them to hafta make 1. c3s were the main battlegrounds, minus poor Slock. I guess I did cost him a lil $$. hehe

Anyways, I'm glad peace is being hashed out.

I have made it clear from the start of this conflict. No terms. No cease fire. No Quarter. LDI had decided to declare on me in the start of the conflict. So I have told them that war it will be till time has no meaning. I do not have any terms except the ones presented by General U. S. Grant. Unconditional surrender. I am not going to be deregging any countries. I will continue to commit to a war effort against LDI. I think if they had wanted peace then they should have never declared on me. If they had wanted something done about the problem they had with Wendy then they should have tried sending a text message through the message system rather than provoking me with a war declaration. I vote no to peace between myself and LDI. NO PEACE FOR LDI!!! As far as the United Confederation goes the different presidents have their own choices to make.
Also Wendy may post on any forum topic she likes to. She may also deem it necessary to continue her war on LDI. The LDI should have known better then to provoke her. Finally, it would have been so much easier for all parties if they had messaged the UNITED CONFEDERATION about their hurt feelings because she was active in the IRC chat and whatever other concerns they may have had.

In addition, thank you Mr. Dubhthaigh of Little Upsilon for your concern in this matter. I can attest to the fact that some things can be worked out trough text messages. You proved that when you sent a text message to me with a certain request. I would have like to stayed in the peaceful mode but LDI has provoked me to war. So war it shall be till time has no meaning.

Barney you are lying I let your countries sneak back into war protection when I showed some compassion to your plight during the California wild fires. Your buddy Sam did sell me a country and said he was following your orders. It was at this same time LDI promised to sell Mr. Dirtrocker a country but renigged on the promise.
as for item 3 I will continue to break it. Here is my response to your cease fire.
You commanded a Nuclear Attack on Abandoned Missile Base.
You dropped a Hydrogen bomb.
The target is completely destroyed. NUCLEAR WAR DISASTER FOR LDI ground or air force placed a nuclear attack on Dont even think about it capital. On the side of Abandoned Missile Base there were 8881 casualties and 18390 civilians were wounded. Dont even think about it is very severely damaged. Abandoned Missile Base forces used 2 nuclear defense missiles in the defense. On the NUCLEAR WAR DISASTER FOR LDI side no losses were reported. The attack may have been reduced or eliminated by Anti Missile Missiles. Abandoned Missile Base defense was assisted by the Garrison TG7 unit.

Hey Nute. The problem with continuing to fight is that the war will never be over. Neither side will ever surrender and both sides will fight a C3 war which will continue indefinitley. I think that this has gone on long enough, and innocent presidents are being hurt by nuclear fallout, and are fearsome that they will get invaded by one side or the other as they could be seen as being in a strategic location.

It dosn't matter what has happenend in the past, who started, who fought, or who fired the most nukes. What matters now is peace. Peace which will last, and bring calm and well being back to LU.

Dub and I are trying to stop this before it gets out of hand, LDI have agreed to a cease fire, and will work towards permanant treaty. I just hope that you and your fellow fedmates can do the same.

The bottom line is; If these peace talks dont work, this will go on forever.

In addition I do not aggree with the demands from LDI about me deregging countries. The way I see they gave me an open invatation to move in next door to their countires when the begin this war. I will fight them on all fronts. As far as fallout goes it is true some of my nukes caused 3 of my friends fallout. finally as far as this war getting out of hand well that happened when LDI declared against me. I know that Mr. Dizzy tried to talk them out of it but they were determined to go forth with a war. I am not sure who else tried to talk them out of the war but i know of several players who egged them on in the irc chat room. So now it is way to late for peace talks. I do not back down nor will I give into their itimadation and unreasonable demands.
So war is my plan till there is no more LDI.

The thing is, this affects 2 worlds, several continents, countless federations who all get fallout, and even more presidents who are worried that they may get declared on just because of where their country is located.

Whilst I understand your point of view, as I do LDI's, this cannot carry on forever. A solution needs to be found. Neither side is willing to surrender, so thats out of the window, but perhaps we can work towards a lasting cease fire at the very least.

Peace has been acheived in worse situations than this before, such as LDI Vs. Valde on LU and UC vs. AF on GR, so why cant it be done now?
