I support Secretary Lord Lee's Decision being that he is also a judge on the LUICC bench. Nobody showed up. Judge Shave if you would have showed up last night I could expect you to have an opinion, but you did not show up your honor. So, Lee's decision should not be challenged.

I would certainly suggest one would need to be at the trial to cast a vote. the point in a trial is to hear the case, I do not believe we can count A verdict of someone who is not present. also the fact that Judge Gaddafi has announced a verdict prior to the actual trial constitutes a Biased and unfair situation. thus I move for the Barring of Judge Gadaffi from this Particular case. Please understand, I am in no way suggesting that Hezz is Guilty of anything, just saying that we are attempting to give legitimacy to the NLUO court system, and we can not do so by holding a trial in a manner that is not fair. I would also move that both Lord Lee and Myself be omitted from this trial as well. as I pressed the charges originally, and Lee is his best friend and will no doubt bring a Biased position to the floor. Aries, its not a matter of moving on from this trial, as I actually agree with you on that part. its about how it is done. if things are done unfairly, and leaders can just come on here and dictate how things are to be done without going through do process, then what is the point? there is no point in having, or being a part of a court system that does not adhere to any set of rules. if you win or lose a trial based on who you know, rather then the facts, then there is nothing democratic about it. I understand your concern Judge Shave. There are rules that should be followed. What I will do is I will set up legislation to reform the rules of the LUICC because I was already going to set up legislation to change the NLUO Oath. So, I will add this to that proposal. The Secretary of Justice is suppose to hold the Judges in check. If all parties do their jobs, then honestly, I don't believe there is any need for reform. But, since some don't do their jobs, I will set up reform legislation.

I would like a chance to look at your legilation if you dont mind Hezz, and maybe send you some ideas, via mail to help you out in this, I am actually very good at this kind of thing. I personally wrote the Constitution we adhere to in The Unique on KB.

Shave, my position might differ from yours in one respect. I believe there is a need for less rules to abide by, checks and balances, and procedure in the NLUO to meet the new focus of the organization.

The goal is to be inclusive to all governments and federations of LU and to allow them to feel they have a forum to voice ideas and cooperatively contribute to game play and fun on the world of LU. It is also a place for new players to learn the game and to find our community and feel they are a part of the best world of Simcountry.

I feel the current pile of rules can be uninviting. The numerous positions available and the current motivations to wield power as an end of itself can create unneeded divisions between us.

I understand the recent past of executive orders for preparation for war or war itself and treason trials etc. I think the NLUO can put these things behind and become something much more for LU.

problem with that aries, is that without the regulations, all the positions are pointless, and only serve to contradict the very thing you just stated about every one having a voice.

the fact of the matter is The NLUO doesnt provide that at all, these forums right here do that. that is there purpose. the purpose of the NLUO is a governing body.

NLUO as a governing body? What does that mean? I still get the feeling of the NLUO being something dark and sinister when I hear it being referred to in that way.

What is your vision of what role is appropriate for the NLUO on the world of LU?
