Missile Interceptor Batteries not shotting Figher Plane Missiles?

Documentation for Missile Interceptor Batteries says they are effective against many weapons inlcuding Navy Fighter Missiles, but Fighter Planes are not listed.

Is this accurate or documentation is outdated and they are indeed effective against FP Missiles?

It's accurate, in RL fighter planes carry air to ground missiles, in this game they do not so there's no need for MIB to counter FP missiles.

In RL , figher planes can carry air to ground and air to air missiles.

they are effective against missile.

They intercept missiles.
large numbers will in fact much reduce the attack.

The document specifies the missiles they can intercept.

they never destroy weapons.
