Unknown Population Shrinkage

Hello everyone, my country is Tyranica. My population is on a constant decline and I have no idea why. Welfare is high, education is too, life expectancy is 113, and migration index is above average. Also my birth rate is almost 500,000 more than the expected death rate. This population shrinkage s leading to my corporations not being able to fully function. I used a lot of my gold coins to get my population to this level and now it seems it is depleting without any known reason. Help with this issue would be much appreciated.

3 why is it shrinking with no notable cause. I should be gaining population and not shutting down profitable corporations.

1) Is your population above the 20M cap? If so, it will continue to drop until it reaches ~20M.
2) Assuming you pop keeps dropping, you may even see those 2 indices rise...assuming you don't build any more schools or hospitals.
3) If all your corps are profitable, you may find some eventually seeing their hiring fall if the pop keeps dropping. That's where the lowest profitable corps could be either closed or wait until the market for one or more corps drops to make one unprofitable. For now you might have to wait a bit and see how those two factors work out over the next few RL days.

I'm seeing something similar in my country where the pop is 23M and dropping. In my case I can't close any of the two unprofitable ones until their corp value drops below 250B again. Hiring in each of them are 100% and there isn't anything I can do except wait and see if I can close them and make a couple new ones. This might

Thanks. I had no idea there was a 20M cap. I am currently at 28M. I wish this was stated somewhere clearly visible before i spent all my gold coins on population. I guess I'll just give up on this account and count my losses. It was a good game while it lasted. Thanks for your response ferdhelke.

If you are still profitable and have some cash reserves, you should be able to weather the pop drop. Things might be tight for a while, but it should stabilize in time.
