WG server going down

GM's,
What is the risk of a server meltdown affecting the other worlds (which thank God) has not happened yet. Want measures are being done to prevent a future breakdown. Thanks for your time.

You don't need to post the same thing in multiple threads.

For an issue like the entire experience of WG becoming unplayable for multiple days in a row with no clear GM response, I'm not sure those of us who put money into this game care how many times he posts.

I pay for this game. I just think what he's doing is unlikely to work. Posting once is great, posting ten times, less so.

But seriously, what happened? I'm doing manual immediate purchases everyday. Unless this is an experiment for a global depression?

i think WG about to crash, its dying really bad, even if you keep ordering stuff, the whole rest of the world is messed up and everything is jacked up really high, overall means less profits. But yet the no comments from anyone about this.

I think what happened is that when the server reset, a bunch of corps put in too-big buy orders for various products, those piled up into shortages, and when the default supply levels for corps started running out, corps shut down and made it impossible to ever fill those orders.

Whatever it is, we still haven't heard a GM update. And the pervasive and game-breaking problem has existed for about five days now, if the graph value of my account is anything to go by.

One of the GMs came back and said they're working on it, finally. In practice it looks like the issue has been tweaked as I'm only running about half the deficit I was before. A couple million of lost population isn't going to help recovery though.
