For inspiration - New government types

Hi All,

As government types does not mean anything right now I wonder why not to use them to add some new dynamics to the game. This is what I think:

Government type	Bonus	Comment
Militarism	Gives your country additional +20 war index Military costs -30%	Could be used if chosing to play aggresive games tyle.
Capitalism	Gives your country +30 welfare index +20% corporation production +30% business index Governance costs +20%	Fow those who like to concentrate on cash and finances
Socialism	+80 Health index +100 Education index +40% birth rate -30% social costs	This would help people to grow their countries much faster
Scientism	Allows to build all levels of corporations Allows to change type and level(1 lvl up) for 2 corporations per game month +100 Education index Reduces the need of high level specialist by 30%	Allows to transform your country to produce higher level production

The type of government could only be changed once in 50 game years or when country gets a new president.

Numbers and bonuses can of course be changed/ added over the time depending on the situation.

Love this. I wonder if there should also be negative traits attached too.

Sure, I just made some numbers to better illiustrate. it should of course be more balanced.

@Lord Mndz, I have made this suggestion before over a year ago and nothing ever came of it. Mind you I suggested making bonuses to the present governments you can choose from (which I like). If this suggestion takes off and is approved of I would like to see bonuses for the present governments Aristocracy, Anarchy, Dictatorship, Democracy, Fascist, Communist etc.. as well as add your new choices.

This would aid the player to be a better Warlord, Economist, Humanitarian, etc. Anyone that has played any of the CIV games know the value of matching government to play style.
As Michael has said this has been discussed before went nowhere.
As much as this would be a nice option, I really wish the developers would look into refinig the existing features.
On the new layout the frame sizing could be a lot better. There is a lot of wasted space on both sides and on some pages you need to scroll sideways. If you hit the END key you then have to page up 3 times to be at the bottom of the list.
It would be really nice to have the last editions of the Newspaper on the country homepage.
The Empire view could be improved with a full Index screen of all your countries side by side.
Since an Enterprise is needed past Lv 4, there should be easier way to transfer goods and the ability to make contracts between them.
