PC is the beginning of the end of a free society. Anyone read Orwell's "1984" lately?

I wouldn't call it the end if the free world ... Maybe a silly nuisance with every generation trying to better itself by coming up with more sanitized terms... And from the looks of the forum most people Disagree with this twisting of language and we are free until we can no longer disagree

Maclean, you'd do better reading "Politics and the English language". In either case, it speaks of ignorance as to how language function if you think PC means anything. You can call it whatever you want and it means the same exact thing... ever notice how "special" is being used pejoratively since it was co-opted to describe retards?

In either case, the problem here is referencing what is a land/nation as a person. It's stupid.

I was thinking more of PC by force, under threat of government reprisals, as is the situation in the U.S. these days. I agree, the whole thing is asinine.
