I never understood, what is the point of buying something in gcs when you can buy everything on the market.

If you need cash it is more efficient than using booster. That is about the only reason I can think of.

They appear on it automatically after some time.

Shuttles that are bought by countries are transferred automatically to the space center.

Shuttles that are produced by corporations, are sold on the market.
You can contract the shuttles produced by the corporation to the country and they will end up at the space center.

There is no way back from the space center to the country.

so you need to decide where you want the shuttles to end up.

You have to do the math. Sometimes it is cheeper to buy in GC's
