What's the difference between helicopters and interceptors?

Heli attack ground units while interceptors take on air support bomber,drones,fighter planes etc

In more detail:
A impenetrable Air defense(Ints) is nothing if they attack via ground.
A impenetrable Ground defense(Heli's) is nothing if they attack via Air.
