You might notice that we have another thread titled 'White Giant Alliance recruitment', but since I messed that one up with so many edits that are offensive to the naked eye, I'm making another one. This thread will serve as the bulletin board for the White Giant Alliance. This includes war declarations, updates, member information or anything else that we consider to be of consequence.

Elections:

This past Monday we held elections for Chairman. The Chairman/President of the Board position is up at the end of every month, lasting the length of that month. While the President of the Board is elected by the Board, the Chairman position is voted on by everyone in the Federation. Amalie ran against the sitting Chairman, but Union King retained his position 4 to 3. Turnout for the next election is expected to be larger, so we'll see what it looks like for the November election that will be held October 26th.

Our electoral system is designed to be as apolitical as possible, with an opportunity for anyone to run for Chairman. Members of the Board are semi-permanent, lest they step down or are directly challenged by another Federation member. We believe this is a good way to have the possibility of rotating leadership, with as little disruption as possible to the Federation.

A statement from our recently elected chairman,

"Today White Giant had a successful democratic process. The WGA is in fact the strongest and most active federation in all of White Giant and we want you to be apart of it!"

White Giant Embassy Channel:
We have a discord channel for all active players of Sim Country. While we emphasize nations on White Giant, any active person is wanted so we can better connect the player base.

Everyone is welcome, other Federation channels are closed for members, however. Though, the rules and elections page are open for all to see. I encourage anyone to join that wants to talk, either about possible recruitment or just talk, to join up!

I'd post the link, but it will probably expire by the time you're reading this. So just ask me, or any other member, for the link.

The Menace:

If you've been watching the forums, then you've more than probably seen our dealings with demolayjohn (or whoever now that they changed their name). There is alleged out-of-game harassment with a member of our Federation and we think that it's possible that this person is responsible given the information that we have. We do not have proof of this, but we're being cautious and taking our member at their word. We've contacted the GM, and as much as possible, will have a no contact policy with this person or their alts.

We urge all other players to avoid this player and I will (personally) continue with warning players about this person because they continuously try to cover up who they actually are with alts. We have a long history with this person as it stands, and if anyone is curious I can be more specific. The thread, 'TRUTH BY UNION KING' explains some of the situation.

White Giant Security Alliance:

Addressing this as I've been asked by at least two players if we have any connection to this Federation and, no, we do not. At least not directly. It is a Federation run by the person above (more specifically their alt) and we have no official diplomatic relationship with them.

The no-contact policy doesn't extended to non-alt members of said Federation, but we're not particularly friendly with this Federation and we haven't had communication that wasn't from Demolayjohn or an alt at this point.

Recruitment

Our numbers have swelled recently, but we're still recruiting active players. Experienced or not, we can help you out. Requirement is Discord, you don't need to be active just on there. As of now, we are adjusting with the new influx of players and working on Economic expansion within the Federation. Stability will be maintained, but as of right now no conflict is brewing (but that's mostly because the one person we want to bomb is hiding behind a low war level).

New member of the board

This campaign season, the positions of Chairman and President of the Board remain with Union King and Amalie respectively. Their terms for November will start on the 1st and extend until the end of the month. Elections on November 23rd. While our regular elections were uncontested, we had a member run against a sitting member of the board, Joshua. Due to real life stuff getting in the way he hasn't been as active and we are glad to announce E_O as our newest addition to the board. We couldn't be more excited to see what is on the horizon.

Our Discord remains open to anyone that wants to join. Federation membership is not required to join in, we have an embassy chat for everyone on the planet. (Or off, for that matter). If interested simply message myself or one of the other members of the White Giant Alliance.

Greetings! Another update from everyone's favorite Federation.

Territorial Dispute

The Kingdom of Adeania had purchased land that Beijing dropped with the intent of re-acquiring. At first negotiations stalled, but after pressure from the WGA and it's Allies a Compromise has been reached by both parties. It is because of this we ask that you vote down the resolution I posted in the security council channel.

Future updates regarding this situation may not be necessary, but the situation is on-going until the Territorial Sovereignty of Beijing is assured. This should serve as a reminder to all, that although we are on a peace world consequences for certain actions can still be levied against belligerent powers. It's one of the reasons why communication and cooperation is key.

Elections

The White Giant Alliance is having another election! The vote will not take place until late next month and we will see Amalie challenge Union States King for the position of Chairman of the Federation.

Miscellaneous

We have a new member! We would like to welcome North Korea to our ranks. Hopefully he can use his nukes for good this time!

You may have seen some random WGA branches pop up. These are for organizational purposes only, still affiliated directly with the White Giant Alliance. Again, no relation to the White Giant SECURITY Alliance which is, not affiliated with us in any way.

Elections

We had another race for the position of Chairman on November 29th. In a total tally of 9-4 Union States King retains the Chairmanship. Congratulations to him and to Amalie for running a fantastic Campaign.

The Board has seen fit to create a new position, the Attorney General. The Chairman has appointed ronald.k.will23 of the Empire of Constantine to the position. We also have a new Board Member! Marcus, the benevolent leader of 'The Republic of Costa', was elected to the position in early November.

White Giant Alliance Challenge to 'Lord' Adonis

It is today in my role as the Federation Manager for the White Giant Alliance I must once again bring a matter of most urgent importance to the attention of all Sovereign nations. The Kingdom of Adeania, ruled over by the self-proclaimed slaver, "Lord" Adonis" purchased a country Beijing had released with the intention of re-acquiring. Financial aid was coming to the country, Adonis seeing this, purchased it for the price of 30GC. When Beijing inquired about the country back, Adonis initially refused even when offered far more than the country was worth.

After failing to succeed in labeling Beijing a "bully" on the International stage, they entered into an agreement with Beijing. The premise being, 800B would be invested by Union States King and Amalie. Shortly after some corporations were bought, Lord Adonis stopped responding to either Amalie or Union States King.

Next thing we know, they're back on the forums saying that they were "lied to" and pleading for international assistance. No word to us, no word about where they went, no nothing.

To put it bluntly, we openly welcome anyone hostile to the White Giant Alliance let their intentions be known. As a Federation, we are moving as many members interested in the War Game as possible to WL3, myself included. We're not afraid of conflict, though we don't seek to start any.

Adonis, you talk of dismantling the White Giant Alliance. We welcome the challenge. I for one, hope you're not just all talk.

War Initiative

The White Giant Alliance is currently undergoing an initiative to get as many players to WL3 in the Federation as possible. With the addition of myself to the WL3 club. That brings the total number of WGA players at WL3 to six, out of the nine total nations that are WL3 on the planet.

May our enemies tremble at our unabated might.

We are hoping that this encourages other players/federations to move to WL3 if possible. The war game has a lot of outdated information on the forums, but accurate data is there! With the new player 12T cash boost, it's well within reach for even new players. The Devs have also been decreasing the cost of Offensive and Defensive weapons. We're hoping to show that these changes aren't in vein, and more importantly, to show that the player base IS interested in war on other planets.

We encourage others to move to WL3 in the secure knowledge that war is still easily avoidable reaching WL3.

Territorial Dispute

We haven't forgotten about countries that have threatened to "Dismantle" the White Giant Alliance. With my personal addition to the WL3 club, I will add, again, that we are ready and willing to face any threat to the White Giant Alliance or it's interests with overwhelming military force. Lord Adonis has seen fit to abandon his original country and find a corner of White Giant where we do not have as active as a presence. While I personally applaud him for trying to move up in war level, the armed forces of the White Giant Alliance and her allies knows no bounds.

Recruitment drive

As you can tell by our Chairman's post above, we're looking for new members and have added a new 'recruiter' role for some of our regular members.

The White Giant Alliance is looking to expand it's membership once again. While our Federation has grown much larger than I can say I personally expected, we're not done yet. We're looking for any active Nation that looks to play a role in the international scene. The need to go to WL3 is not required, nor is any war participation required, but we are helping anyone interested get there.

Rule changes

We've been sprucing up the Discord and the rules as well. While mostly organizational, one substantial rule have been amended. Starting now (the next term) the term length will be three months instead of the usual one. This is to cut down on the amount of elections from 12 a year to 4 and to give the Chairman's Administration more time to do whatever. We also think this will give opponents time to form their own agenda/organize and campaign.

Elections

It seems like this election cycle will go uncontested. Which means that Union States King will retain leadership for the next term. This upcoming term is also the first term that we are trying out the three month term limit. This is subject to change, won't increase, but we're trying it out.

Operation: Overwatch

As the number of War Level 3 nations on the planet grows, the White Giant Alliance will directly maintain the stability of the planet and it's Nations. By means of overwhelming military force, if required. This means that we will not allow conflict to occur unjustly, without warning or provocation. This does NOT mean that we will be involved with any conflict that happens or any disagreement. This does NOT mean we're going to start invading people.

But this DOES mean that we will be watching. Any Nation under threat of unjust military action will have to answer to the WGA. This also goes for nations seeking to undermine stability through other means.

New Roles and Rules

We're adding three new positions that will be elected every other month. We will be holding snap elections this Thursday to determine those positions. The term for Chairman and President of the Board have been shortened. Instead of lasting three months, it will last two. This will take place after this next election.

WGA marches to WL3

We welcome two more White Giant Alliance members to the War Level 3 club. 'AFRICAN UNION' and the 'CCA Sovereign States' have both reached the War Level 3 milestone.

We will continue to push others to hit WL3, both inside and out of White Giant Alliance. This now brings the number of people at WL3 to 16 on the planet. Most of which, are members of the White Giant Alliance.

Early Elections

We've amended the timeframe for the election of Chairman, resulting in early elections for the Federation this month! This time we had a three way
race that saw 'THE UNION STATES OF AMERICA' retain the position. We also have elected Kingdom of Yngen for the position of Censor Officer and The Empire of Constantine
to the position of Recruitment manager.

Our next set of elections, for all of said positions, will occour on April 26th, 2021.

Trade embargos, security council votes and WAR!

Since Lee decided he needed some more prep time (like a scaredy-cat) we will continue to exert maximum pressure to his Empire including trade embargos, security council measures and (very witty) taunts until he fights us or leaves the planet.

Just to be clear, again, there are no exclusion zones for other countries. We simply respond to obvious threats. As White Giant is White Giant, the WGA will continue to act with transparency and responsibility.

More mobility throughout the Board! Due to real-life circumstances, Marcus of the Republic of Costa had to step away. In his place, the Board chose the Kindom of Hodg to take his place! The cold war with Lee is still ongoing. He's yet to hit WL3 and he's yet to make any more grand announcements of our downfall. We are still watching and waiting. The economies and arsenals continue to grow for the WGA.
