None Nuclear Meno Travia Region

The Japanese Empire. The Nation of North Meno Travia and The Kingdom of Mongo agreed to keep our Region a none nuclear weapons zone between our 3 nations. Other things was also talked and agreed upon as we work to expand and keep our region safe from nuclear weapons.

I have nukes. Lots of nukes.

Dear Aries, I see you say you have lot's of nukes, and congrats my friend. Im sure you nations are well protected. Reading the forums we saw a comment that stated " wars on this planet always involved nukes" so my new friends in the region that my country is located, we came together and had talks. We talked about expanding and that we should all get alone especially if we expand enough that our countries may share borders one day. We agreed to keep nukes out of the region and have relationships and share what we learn from the game with each other. We don't really know much about this planet and who are the superpowers, but we decided to share what we know and how we see our countries developing as we move forward. We invite all for input especially myself as I learn and move forward with the game and gameplay.

You are not vulnerable to player attack unless you go to war level 3+. If you do decide to do that, I find, in practice, nukes are often best used as a defensive weapons actually. Someone interested in conquering you won't use them, and if you lack the ability to compete with an attacker with conventional forces, it can be one of few options.

There is complexity in their use though. There are effective counters to nuclear attack, so there remains strategy in their deployment and use.

Yes we discussed war levels and we all want to reach high war levels. That's why the discussions of a nuclear weapon free region was talked about alone with other discussions.

I like Aries also have lots of nukes and nuke defenses. I will have more of both before I hit war level 3.

Why not change your pact to make it no nukes used in aggressive wars? Meaning it's ok to have them, but only use them if you are attacked. This is my plan, if I'm attacked I will nuke the attacker.

That's a great idea and all options will always be on the table especially for defense purposes. As we grow and learn the game, im sure we will revisit the subject. As of right now my neighbors and myself have a agreement.

So, can they just keep their nukes in other countries, but possibly within range, if it is not in the region? How about just keeping them in their enterprise? Worst case, on another world, and a short shuttle ride away?

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to accomplish here other than to say 'you can't possess nuclear weapons if your country is near mine'. Is this correct?

Or are you saying if you have nukes and are near me and my friends we will attack you?

It's not a problem as I doubt I will have a country in that area of the world. Just looking for clarification.
