Public Corporations (White Giant)

I have recently just done a public offering.

I came bck from work to see that it had cost me 1.26 trillion.

I want to know if I will actually earn a profit, if not how can I undo this?

My economys rapidly declining, I need a answer.......

going pubic is selling a % of ur company to the publc. So it will raise money not cost you. what is ur country name, i will check it out when i can.

Its The Empire of Enosa

Cosmos, look at your country's financial statement and look at where the costs are. Based on your indexes, I'm guessing you're spending way too much on defense (you have at least 100 forts, all with full garrisons, and you can't be attacked) and maybe on transportation.

Your country newspaper indicates that you're having trouble supplying those garrisons (another reason to shut them down) and that your social security index is too low (raising it is good for your economy).

Also look at your education priorities; make sure you're producing the kinds of workers you need, especially teachers, since you'll need to raise your education index a bit. And think about setting up a few back to work schools and special clinics. This will put unproductive people back in the workforce.

RP: "going pubic" may help Cosmos increase his population, but the extra pop won't add to the workforce for a while.

Actually, why do you even need all of those forts? You're in secured mode. That country can't be attacked, ever. You don't need to spend so much on defense or offense (unless you plan on waging war on a C3).

But.....it makes my country look pwetty :D
And I may come out of secured mode....

Tabula Rasa and Hanul, I really appreciate the advice you have given and I will be sure to follow it.

You're at war level 0. You will need to win 3-6 wars with C3s before you can fight a war where you need to defend yourself (C3s don't attack, only defend). Removing secured mode right now won't matter.

On the other hand, I'm not sure blowing up forts will make that much difference to your defense costs. Getting the garrisons out is the big thing.

What they said ^. Utilise the secure mode to get a full grasp of what your economy can handle use this time to improve your income and build cash reserves.

Furthermore here are some points you may want to consider.

Corporations are in bad shape!

+ Set trade strategies to
Sell
19
5
Buy
-4
4

+ Resolve supply shortages of corporations
+ Close some corporations, such as Dream hill Offensive Air To Ai and perhaps construction corps (to free workers to CEO corps and profitable state corps)

Your map and forts do look lovely though.

Well thanks to your advice my economy has increased in income by 2.68 billion

I have tried to close corps but it just says this
Sorry, there is no economic sense in closing this corporation.

I have changed the buying strategy and have gotten out all the garrisons of my defence forts.

I have also changed 10 schools back to workforce (How much more?)

And I have also been able to make 2 more corps public.

Yeah, that's b/c the value of those corporations are over 1 GC. They gotta be at 1 GC or less to have the option of closing.

Country controlled public corporations will give you more money than state owned if I recall correctly, or well read that somewhere.

I'd probably have lots of them if I wasn't so OCD about having only private corporations and nationalized corporations, having a private freak out with that enterprise controlled corporation that I accepted being moved into Skyria II. Like I like the extra money, but I hate seeing that third row, dunno what to do. I want his money, but not his public corporations.

That and I need to get Skyria II's debt down so I can nationalize that private medical materials corporation, I don't feel it's giving me enough money.

Cosmos, I do have one other question. Were all those forts there when you started, or did you build them?

Don't you usually start out with 20 forts? I think he's built them; since he's started his intention to get out of secured mode one day and etc, but that's just conjecture.

You need to deactivate/ungarrison those troops as soon as you can though. Once that beginner bonus goes away, it looks like you're screwed. You're profit for your previous month was 37B. Beginner bonus was 38B for that previous month as well.

Once that beginner bonus goes away, that's 38B less you're country will be making.

Yeah, I did make them......
I wanted to also raise my defence index so that I could move on to level 2......

I'm not a paying member at the moment.
But I intend to be one day.....

How are you finding out all this information from jsut my country name :D?

I have just bought 1 million population.

And it has tooken almost half an hour to sort them out and relocate thm to appropriate positions :D

I fully understand that I am sorta screwed at the moment but that begginners boost will keep me going for a bit.

And luckily thanks to the many changes I have made my income is now 40.50 b!

Begginners boost at 37.777

My plan is to get out of dept and then just watch my population go up for a bit all the while try to attract CEO's.

And once all my corps are stable with enough workers, and with excess I will build another corp or two, still trying to attract CEO's.

I aim to get my income to 60b.

I would consider that a safe zone as my economy won't be able to drop down to 0 in a day or anything like that....

P.S This game is so fun :D!

We can see everything about you're country since you aren't being secretive. And for defense index, just buy some interceptors and useful units.

It shouldn't be so much as getting you're income up to 60b, but more like making a higher profit. Like Skyria II has an income of around 40b, but it's expenses are around a mere 20b, so I make 20b every month. It's not the income, but the profits. You could be making 60b of income, but have like 65b of expenses, that's not good.

It's profit you want to think of, not income.

Plus, if you want more CEO's, don't build any more corps. The more unemployed workers you have, the more attractive you're country looks like to a CEO because they know there's a workforce they can employ to start production at 100% right away.

Have a high education index too; that's always a good thing.

<!-/Quote-!>

I often close corps well over 15GC and 2-3T market value with econ protection on.

Cosmos don't worry about IPO/public corps. It can be done at any time and doesn't make up for lost profit at present.

Your profit is going well (39B last time I checked)

Good to see the trade strategies set, but due to my failure to explain, please set the sell to 'Follow Product Quality Strategy' rather then 'Time Based Strategy'. This will ensure it sells at 19 + Quality Upgrades + Market rather then just 19 + Market.

The issue of 'Shortages' in your corps can be resolved by clicking on the red text 'Shortages' > Under the heading "Requested Products - Waiting for Offers on the Market" > For each order, click "details" > and click link "replace this order by an immediate order now".

Keep attempting to close unprofitable state corps to free workers for profitable state and CEO corps. Running corps at 10% etc due to worker shortages is slowing you down. Maybe it will work at some point

Additionally, I wouldn't accept CEO military corps such as "Jeshomo Offensive Air To Air M". You will still profit from these corps, but less then others.

Hmmm. Yep understood.
Will follow instructions right away!

How do I be secretive, I understand what you mean by that, I have seen many countries that are using it...

I'm not gonna be secretive yet, not until this thread closes.

I have closed 2 state corps and have resolved all shortages.

I have a question.
Can the CEO's move out of m country any time they want ?

And another question, what benefits do I recieve from raising my Education index, and what do you recommend I raise it to?
130?
140?
110?
Or should I just see how much my country actually evens requires as a minimum and follow that?

Yes they can move out of your country any time they want (I think)

You should go check out the beginner's section, they have talks about stuff like that. I do my best to get my index past 200, but that might be a little excessive.

I didn't know that you could close them down, from what I've seen with my corps; I've had to wait for them to gown past 1 gc.

CEOs can pull out at will, but they have to pay you a penalty for leaving. It's based on corporation value, but the minimum payment is $100 billion IIRC.
