The State of Marcos' Unstable Government

Adding to the complexity of the geopolitical situation is the involvement of The State of Marcos, a country currently facing an apparent coup attempt. The State's government recently arrested two Union States citizens who were allegedly in contact with the opposition party, creating a "climate of fear." The Union States, in response to the unstable government situation, had previously issued a travel ban. However, US citizens disregarded the ban, leading to frustration within the Union government.
Secretary of State James Holden expressed the Union's dissatisfaction with the State of Marcos' actions, emphasizing that such behavior would not be tolerated. In response to the arrests of their citizens, the Union government has taken a firm stance, deciding not to negotiate or acknowledge the State of Marcos until the detained US citizens are safely returned.
