Silence...Is NOT Golden

If there is one thing that disappoints me to no end is the lack of communication in this game by the players! What has happened???? Do players not converse with each other any more? Chat is always dead and the game forum is like a ghost town!

It is up to every player to support the chat and forums to build up the game and to attract other players into joining. More importantly, this is where new players can get help if in need. Remember, Simcountry is what YOU make of it!

To me, the community is what made the game in the good ol' days. Now I challenge all of you to resurrect the good ol' days. SPEAK! SPEAK! SPEAK!

I hope the next time, I poke my head into this game, I see some communication and bodies in chat! Don't make me turn mean and cast one of my evil spells on you!

Well Jan, we could always revive the foundation weekly chat. 1st week went pretty well and then everyone seemed to find whatever rock they crawled out from and I haven't seen them since.

Chat time is 1PM Sundays
New York Time or Eastern US Time.

To start it will likely be just you and I. If we are consistent, at least other players will be aware of a definitive time when they can log in to chat and someone will be there. Can I count on your presence?

1 pm this Sunday and I will be there.

I will try to be there. My weekends have been pretty busy as my mother is in the hospital. I'll support this as much as I can.

I have not come across him in my Sim-Travels. I would imagine he is off vacationing somewhere... I'm sure his will to stay away from Sim will diminish and he'll pop in one day.

As for the 12 chat, I am there now. It appears some people showed up initially but I am very late. I had a weird few days.

Either way I am there now for anyone who wishes to join.

We will participate in any event or chat you would like to organize.

We are also trying to be on Facebook more often and answer questions.

That's cool regarding Facebook. I just got on and placed a few comments on the simcountry page. Did not even know simcountry was on Facebook till now.
I showed up for chat on Sunday past at 1 pm and no one was on there. I have been in chat periodically and there have been a few more people on there. I have seen Yankee, taurine, jhinkk and aries on to name a few.

And speaking of the chat room -is there any way to indicate the time someone is on ?

I will try my best to keep the Sunday schedule. It is my most likely moment for free time. I a 4 month old now, which is why I have time to play again, but she doesn't always cooperate.

I am not aware of any way to find that out Michael. Speaking of wishes, I really wish we had entry sounds or sounds for conversation. Currently, there are some sounds for PMs but regular chatting is what we who hang out in the room waiting for others need to alert us. Sometimes I may wait and miss players coming into the room and leaving because I have the window minimized.

Dear Chatters,

Life is very complicated for me now with my mother being ill and in and out of the hospital the last four months, so free time on the weekends is almost non-existent. If we can set some time during the work week, I am more than happy to chat. But know, I dun discuss game. I discuss frivolous topics like shoes and such!

I hope my son, Andy (my beloved Andrew) will come to visit. I haven't talked to my Wicked child in sooooooo long!

And congratulations, Wendy on the birth of your baby!

Good idea about setting a time up during the week to chat. Suggestion - how about Wednesday evening say 6 or 7 pm. i am in the Eastern Standard Time so not sure if that is good for others from different time zones. Open to suggestions.

Thanks Kiss... I am so happy to have her. Wanna know something crazy? For the third time now I am going to have Irish twins, I am 3 months in again wtf?!?!? Didn't know until I had a unexpected visit to the ER. Going to find out if it is a boy/girl in a few weeks. So I should have plenty of time to dabble. I will post picks on some of my country profiles. My eldest just turned 17/18 respectively. I was 10 years out form freedom with my (now) middle pair.... I could cry I just rest the clock twice lol....

I did in the past days and talked to myself.

I am in Europe (Amsterdam) most of the time. This is EST + 6 so EST 6pm is a bit late most times.

Today Wednesday will be home at 5 or 5:30 pm EST and try the chat.

I'm glad to see that son is like mother. I chat with myself some days. :-) I will be proctoring an exam for 4 hours tomorrow, soooooooooooo I'll pop in chat tomorrow. :-)
