Market Analysis (Little Upsilon)

I would like to take this time to ask the econ sided players to consider for a moment how the perpetual state of war on LU has either positively or negatively impacted profits and the macro-economy of LU over all.

Too often we hear about how dysfunctional the war like players are, or may be, but I suspect that over the last few months many players have reaped very healthy profits...


Thoughts?

Barney, to be honest; A lot of my corps are making healthy profits at the moment. I do not have many weapons corps (and those I do are contracted to myself!), but my construction corps are making a killing due to the rebuild costs.

I am a new player with a CEO with almost 400 ammo corps. I am selling at market +60% and doing very well, especially the first part of December.

My CEOs are reaping the profits of selling ammo at nearly 400% market price (60 above quality); they have probably nearly a couple hundred ammo corps between them.

My countries are stockpiling military hardware at 100 quality. I'm saving myself a boatload, and my CEOs are making a boatload, by taking advantage of the quality spread.

I can say that the current turmoil has me working towards level 6, which I never would have considered attempting three months ago.

Even my VWL CEO has been making a killing by selling ammo at 100 above quality...not sure what that really makes out to in terms of % over market price but I've had a few RL weeks where I'd pull over $10T at a time.

Besides Barney, how is it any real difference from RL?

Why are we thanking barney, in thoery that would be correct as he provoked me several times. LDI has repeatedly called for surrender to end the conflict.

The perpetual war is not their will, they want it to end. I don't think the responses that were positive is what they were looking for. He proly was looking for negative responses to garner public opinion for an end to it.

The only negative i would say is the nuclear fallout is the only issue i could bring up, but LDI is doing the nuking.

Your conflict isn't making even as much as even a mosquito bite on the economy. Whether you were to continue or to cease completely, things would be no different.

It is more of a visceral response than a need.

Need or desire signifies involvement.

I have no involvement only a detached sense of curiosity.

Thus while I can change my responses I see no need to do so unless the external stimuli I apply to her bad behavior has the desired response.

I disagree. Theres been nothing but BULLSHIT on the forums since ive rejoined. War protection/secured mode is to blame for that I think.

The purpose of suspending someone is to avoid banning.
