I also want to thank Barney and Lasher for bringing some heat on him late in the war. I think he just got tired of trying to break through my lines and saw you guys dec'ing in his rear view mirror. Thanks guys.

The original intent of this war was the defense and relief of T. That has been achieved. Danneh has fought valiantly, and although a little aggressive(as if Im not), I'm considering ending hostilities. Fb is a war world and players like danneh are necessary to keep the spirit of this world true. I would ask SFO at this point to consider the current outcomes achieved and move towards ending the war.

Com'on, dammit!

The name bug was fixed. Quit the long shitty names, so I can have a war list that fits on my WIDESCREEN monitor with FF3.

JR they dont believe its been fixed. I am thinking about declaring on all long names just to prove to them that it is pointless, but then I could have done that before and they didnt believe it. Then again they know better than us.

eh? I proved it was possible before the updates by declaring on Barney's long named country. I'll get around to renaming my countries in due course .. busy with wars at the moment though.

In the meantime, cntl-scrollwheel works great for making wide pages fit on your screen!

I thought peace had been declared? I know how to get past the naming thing but thanks. If peace has not been declared lets keep it down to a low level as it seems to be and everyone I think will be fine with it.

Barney and I seem to be through, I've had no word from SFO people though - I'm shooting at any country that shoots at me, but I'm not initiating things at the moment. If no-one shoots at me, all the wars will lapse.

Danneh is a well read valiant fighter who was made for FB, unlike others.

Ill war loud and ugly anytime I choose and I hardly think there is a player who can direct me otherwise.

I knew the bug was fixed when it was fixed. I knew the bug wasn't fixed when it wasn't fixed. I knew no work around to the name bug, but judge not my knowledge of this games various villainous functions based upon this one instance. To do so would risk certain disaster for your stats.

Danneh,

I like the nit-picking attacks that you do. May be I will get a chance to return the favor in the future? :^)

Are you running a macro? Otherwise, you are no doubt the most patient man that I have ever known.

After the massive click-fest I had against treasurer, I went out and bought a third computer and three 5-button mice. If someone ever made a video of me clicking away like a maniac, I am sure that youtube viewers would think that I'm having some kind of demented fit. That said, there's room on my desk for a fourth mouse if I start stacking the pc's and a free port on my KVM box. I might have to glue some of the mice down to stop the damn things roaming around while I'm trying to click them!

A macro sounds good and might save my electricity bill, can you download them?

I didn't get the gaming mouse that I put the link of, that would be severe overkill for simcountry - I just wanted to show what's out there.

Some time ago, work got me one of these :
http://www.microsoft.com/uk/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/productdetails.aspx?pid=005

and that was it, once you get a 5 button mouse and your thumb is sitting precisely over the button that does "back" on webpages, you have reached the point of no return in browsing.

This was quite an episode. I've always wondered a few things. I know you could declare against a neighboring long-name country using the map, but how was it done against far away countries? I remember that once Danneh did so others did it too...anyone willing to divulge how?! And Did Danneh ever get his 5T SC$??

The long-name bug was much more powerful than simply preventing declarations...as Treasurer (and only Treasurer) pointed out, you couldn't use long range radar against such a country. When using a list of army units targets, you couldn't even tell what kind of unit it was. You couldn't for example target all the defense wings, or supply units, using the list. In addition, we know that you can make map items invisible on the normal country map, but when a country is at war you can see those items in the war map. With the name bug I believe those army units remained invisible even during war. No visibility an

Well he brought his carrier and nfp's for the party but I knocked the carrier out as the clock struck :01. That left him no choice but to ground pound me. He had 3 or four ground slaves if I'm not mistaken when he rolled in. It was a click fest. I just watched were he was making his advances and threw the jeeps in his path at every turn. He killed them at will, but when you have to kill 300k+ single jeep units one by one, it gets old. And coffee only keeps you awake so long.

The radar planes would not show anything he had until about 30 minutes before our war went active. That was because they had just done the update on fixing the bug. That's how I figured out he had the carrier and the nfp's. If they hadn't fixed it, I would've been toast because his first attack was to take out any offensive capabilities I might have had, which was minimal to begin with. I used what bombers I could muster to sink the carrier and then

Barney offered me the 5T, but as we were having a war with much higher stakes by that point, I didn't claim it. As for the how, there are still some available sploits that would become apparent with the information. As far as I've seen, no-one who worked out the method was underhand enough to push the sploits (at least on FB, I dont look elsewhere), this probably is why the info didn't become public yet.

Yes, treasurer's map was packed close enough to make the special forces redundant, but even if it wasn't, special forces are weak against an active president, as just about anything can kill them.

There was nothing stopping air attacks apart from a lack of things for me to attack with. As Treasurer said, he was faster off the draw as the bell rang and my ground attack country (the other 3 were defence-only) had minimal attack aircraft because I had rammed it with ground attack.

Well 99.9% of my defense used then is outlawed nowadays. My goal was to prevent painting, and I was able to keep Danneh from doing that because of my own "sploit". Well it wasn't my "sploit", but I put it to good use.

I don't really consider it pivotal though. I think it was more of a pride fight than anything. Neither of us really had much to lose. What I mean is, Danneh only really lost the c3 slaves he had taken to fight me with. And there wasn't anything of strategic value in mine for him to use. It was just two big guys having it out for shits and giggles really.
