@ Lorelei: Part of the attraction is the Mystery that is Woman; you are very complicated creatures, and easy on the eyes, and not like us cruder, more transparent types (in general). Part of my "once burned, twice shy" viewpoint probably comes from when I was a youth and acted chivalrously toward the gals, and tried to "treat them nice", and had it thrown back in my face with utter scorn and contempt. The "game" was horrible, so I quit "playing".

Relationships "gone bad" just hurt especially when true feelings are involved. Women are "burned" just like mean are. Sometimes you just meet up/hook up with the "wrong" person. Sometimes what YOU think is best for you, may not necessarily be the BEST for you. If a relationship doesn't survive the test of time, it was on a rocky foundation to begin with, and better to end. It takes total commitment on two people's part. A sharing through good and bad, a partnership. A relationship is never one-sided. I have loved twice in my life and have been hurt in both cases. One relationship I ended and the other was ended by the guy. But I don't have any regrets in both cases. I know trusting in someone again is a scary thing, but you have to work on taking that leap of faith in someone again. It's part of growing and living, and love will find you again!
