I would never pick a preference of another country. why would I pick a favorite just because they are first world? First of all, Hamas is no where near as extreme as ISIS, or the Taliban. Iran may be Shiite however they are more prone to support Hamas. Hamas in Gaza and the PLO in the West Bank don't agree most of the time either, the later being more secular than Hamas. The Taliban is Sunni, therefor they opposed Iran and would consider Hezbollah to be their own enemies. Hezbollah is known to be more professional and modern in their views than say, Al-Queda. Then there are the Kurds, mainly Sunni, but they are not going to be happy seeing their ground being lost to a Sunni ISIS incursion.
