WL's on FB (Fearless Blue)

i'm tossed up about the WP, i mean people do get sick, go on vacation, or otherwise can't be at their computers every day of the year. The announced increase cost of WP on FB is good, but i think maybe giving a higher free amount of WP like one every 8 GM, and then do not allow any buying of WP for FB... but their planned changes are good, lets see how it plays out?

my other thought, is every RL month, your War Level automatically increases by 1, up to 3 where the automatic leveling up stops. That gives every one 3 months to prepare... shoot, increase it one every 2 months, giving players 6 months to get ready, i'd still be happy.

I maintain that War Levels should not be a factor on FB. Going up WL on FB should be rewarded with better C3s to raid and higher Game Levels, as it is on all other worlds. War Levels 1 and 2 should not offer protection on FB.

I like your idea Josias. It would give time to build a small empire and search out a fed to help protect you while you build further. At least that way there your not going to remain at WL 2 forever. Also, if the rules where to change, it would give people that are already there and below WL 3 to do the same.

on the topic of WP it would be a flat rate for the empire. Like 5GC per day for the empire thats no unreasonable as most keep 4-5slaves and its better then 1GC per 4months on a now 6month world. Flat empire rates would make it much easier. On top of that the GM can make WP All or non.

I have always been a mostly peaceful player. I too played before WL's and never got into a war. I agree much has to do with how you present yourself. I never looked for war because I didn't want it. At one time, I probably had 10 countries that didn't have enough combined defense to save one.
That said, I agree one planet should be about war and not offer free protection. The game has to offer something to those who want war if they are going to advertise it that war.
I also like Josias' idea of auto-moving levels to give people plenty of time to get ready.

Question:

How difficult is it to get to War Level 3?

Is it something Barren could do?

Everyone can easily get to war level 3.
if you cannot, don't go to FB and don't start any wars.

there must be a minimum war level protection also on FB or we will get back to the killing of noobs.

player to player fighting, war level 3 and up must be completely free.

in the mean time, I will build my empire on FB and get ready for war.

How would eliminating WL's on FB lead to the killing of noobs? They can still play other worlds. If they change FB to no WLs, then noobs shouldn't be started on the planet. Maybe they have to play 30 days before they can move there too. That way it is not just vet war monger pouncing on unsuspecting new guy all the time.

It is easy to get to war level 3. Very easy in fact. But there shouldn't be a mechanism forcing anyone up the war levels. If there was one added, war levels wouldn't be practical in the first place. Why go through all the trouble to have this feature installed only to have it undone as soon as the players who advocated and praised its' inception find it unsuitable to their raiding habits? Pathetic.

lol, their are 4 planets that NEW players are randomly put on. FB is a choice, 3-6 month prep... between building up and finding a good fed, it really shouldn't take that long.

As far as the fb thing, the point can be argued either way over and over. My position is that the players in the 'know' do not fight each other for fear of loss. As a result those players need n00bs to feed on in order to maintain those superior armies. Moving players up without a choice is tantamount to placing us where we were when we supposedly needed war levels. Vets eating thew weak. There are plenty of players on FB that can fight war. Again you all CHOOSE not to, in favor of the easy victory.

your right, about the that, i agree, how ever, i think just like bears loosing their habitat, things might change

further, i truely believe, that the main problem to the war game... is when a new player shows up in the chat, they are told to sell their weapons...

and that the documentation is pretty useless to a new player, it creates a demograph of econ only players.

Conclusion: There is no need to reduce war level requirement on any world. (FB included)

For the players that wish the war option, just get to War Level 3.

I say make a war continent on each world.

Let players interested in the war option with other players buy a booster and move their country to a war continent. (Swap with a c3) A random move to a c3 on the war continent cost 1 coin. A move to a specific available c3 on the war continent cost 5 coin. Countries moved to a specific country on the war continent cannot wage war for 14 days.

For players going on vacation, just buy a booster and move your country off the war continent.(These countries will have a minimum 14 day waiting period before they can return to the war continent)

No temporary war peace allowed on the war continent.

Your country is fair game 24/7 when on the continent.

A country must be at war level 3 or higher to move to the war continent.

Any country currently in war cannot move off the war world.
