For what it's worth, I am a 'faltering' christian who respects the rights of Israel to thrive, and i have many questions as i get older; such as god, and good vs evil, etc...Things are not so black-and -white as when i was a young buck, it seems...

Very interesting... It somehow seems that religion and the lack-thereof, can't be discussed without a certain degree of escalation to it... Ever.

Indeed nothing is black and white which makes me wonder how people can take such strong stances on cases like Israel Palestinian conflict...

Aussteigen: yes, i have a friend that you cannot talk about certain subjects cause it brings the devil out of him in conversation. Ie: religion, politics, and such. makes him mad to talk about it. so I stick with little things and we are great friends and get along. I guess it is because of the absolute opinions people make. Not that they are wrong, but they don't back down and realize we can agree to disagree. There is no fault in that.

Also this is a theory that I liked and show the grey area. it goes: all things are neutral until you assign them a good or bad use, then they turn good or bad. So guns for example are neutral, use it for defense it can be good, but use it to kill Jackwagen (be a good sport now) and it now is murder and the object is bad. That neutral is the grey areas we so often see. Like

Actually though its not the object (in this case the gun) thats bad, its the use or misuse of it thats bad. Drunk people drive cars and crash into people and kill them, but the car isnt bad, its the misuse of the car by the drunk driver.
I rarely think there are 'grey' areas. The great majority of stuff is black and white. True, some people put more emphasis on certain things and therefore its more valuable to them, but that does not change the fact if something is right or wrong does it? Can you maybe give us an example to consider?

Serpent I do agree. I was only referencing one part of it that you don't think is important but it can be. energy bad or good can be transferred to it.
A simple your action is the method to transfer the curse on it since used in bad motive as with the gun.
the drunk driver situation more describes something that is neutral the intent was have good time and get home with out a hassle that ended in a fatality. in the murder situation a pure bad motive caused the transfer. the drunk driver is more like a very tragic trespass on another.

It the energy/motive that can create a void and something will fill the void. Idols and worshiping them may be false, in opinion, but it creates energy from a mass of people. something is going to fill it and if the evil rules the world, then for sure something evil will fill it..

I worry that evil has compromised us so much that it has removed all ability for us to stop and think about what we are doing. Evil has created a system that relies on action without the time to think about consequence of such action.

I like the analogy that everything is neutral until it has a action applied to it.

The key to doing good action is removing 99% of reaction that will be bad. This takes a lot of time to do any action. And in this system of distraction, desire and action we have no time to think before we act for the if we did the moment would pass us.
