Well my point is that according to the bible at 1 John 5:19 the world is in fact currently being controlled by wickedness or evil. This bible fact explains many things.

According to the bible God is not presently controlling the world. That's why 1John 5:19 plainly says that the WHOLE world is in the power of the wicked one.

In fact even the temptation that was presented by Satan to Jesus at Luke 4:5-7 proves this. Because if it was not possible for Satan to offer the 'world' to Jesus for an act of worship, how would it have been a temptation? Also wouldn't Jesus have simply said, 'its not yours to give'. So no, the world is not being controlled by God, if it was things would be different.

However, you are right that according to the bible God does have a 'divine plan'.

God is the giver and taker of kingdoms even tho the wicked control the world. God intercedes in many ways, but don't blame him for the hustle and bustle of this world.

Here is a question. One that all of us should ask ourselves. "If I died today, where would I spend eternity?"

As to the inference, "if there were a God" as stated by carbon above...well there IS a God. He is VERY real. I just saw a very thought provoking movie, God is NOT Dead. It talks about athiests and their hatred against God. Have you often wondered why athiests/non-believers are so offended by prayer and the words, In God We Trust, or anything to do with religion or the mere mention of God, period? If they didn't believe, why do they even care????? I think deep down they know, and they FEAR.

I think some of the most avid atheists were once believers and "hate" God, because they felt let down or betrayed by Him. What we have to remember that God has given all of us Free Will. Nothing bad in this world can be of God, for God is Good. Disease that kills, sick people who molest or murder helpless ch

They mock all gods... and "higher beliefs" (paranormal). I have a few friends... Not very common down here.

Toothdecay I think to put it simply atheists don't fear god or feel let down by him because they don't think he exists..... I don't like to argue over the existence of god because it involves some esoteric topics and ultimately no one ever changes their mind because of intellectual dialogue...

As for saying morality comes from god I find that to be very offensive myopic and does a disservice to all of humanity..... Even the phrase god is good implies goodness is something outside of god something greater then god.... Also saying atheists are cold and callous is a rather stupid thing to say... Generalizations like this rarely hold up to scrutiny....

Atheists regularly do debate Muslims and visit Muslim countries... Obviously religious influence is stronger there and there are less atheists.... As such religious debate between atheists and theists is mostly done in the context of Christianity... But the same arguments apply...

Oh yes, Jackwagen, the all-knowing and wise one, who likes to see himself type. Athiest, non-believer spews forth from you like molten lava from an erupting volcano. As if I or any Christian would give any credence to what you say. Just saying. I also, am of the belief, that to debate religion is pointless. We all have our belief systems and I'm sure points in a game forum would not deter them. FURTHERMORE, one has to point out, does a religious debate belong in a game forum, when it only sparks the offensive with the games' customers?

Supreme, you may think you are being "cutesy" and "witty", but I rather pity that you can take such a carefree attitude of where you would spend eternity, providing of course that you are a believer. Such a sad state of people these days. No wonder there is so much murder, crime, people hurting other people, children killing children. It is people such as you who are role models to children and others that evoke such antipathy towards the entire concept of goodness and God. I pity you. I pray for your souls. No wonder there is so much hate in you. All of this is prophesized in Revelations, you know. You nonbelievers should educate yourselves and stop taking the "easy" way out. I can say this, it is not I who am to judge. What you do during your time on earth is between you and God. God is a merciful God, but it clearly states, unless you accept HIS Son as your Lord and Savior, you will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jackwagen, I never stated that I was under attack or that I am a victim. Again in your anger, you misinterpret all together what I was trying to say. I just shake my head at people like you........filled with anger and wanting to lash out. I have stated nothing here but my opinion. Why are you so angry? I've not been angered by anything you have said.

Again, you must be filled with some sort of loathing for those who are different from you or possess a feeling of inadequacy. What I was stating above was a generalty and not specifically stated at you alone, per se.
