Well, the short of it is I have cancer, specifically Lymphoma. Been so busy with everything. Family and friends have been very supportive and I have had no shortage of visitors. I am still in the hospital, where I have been for nearly two weeks, and have started chemotherapy. I will finish the first cycle later this week and finally get to go home. I will need to return for five more cycles, however, as the battle to rid myself of this disease will take, at least, six months.

I appreciate your support.

I have been home since last Wednesday, though I visit the hospital twice a week for a blood test. My picc line kinked and was removed yesterday. A port in many chest will be installed on Monday for my second cycle of chemotherapy that will start Wednesday. I am in the period where my immune system is the weakest. My last test showed My T-cell count to be a quarter of what it was when I started chemotherapy. I spend my time at home. Any visitors need to wear masks and I must wear one for my appointments.

Today, I started to experience sores in my mouth that often are caused by chemotherapy. This has been frustrating as talking and eating have been difficult. My wife is out getting items such as pudding as I hope a prescribed mouthwash will help.

Anyone see the story of Eric Berry? He is exactly where I was about two weeks ago.

My uncle had the same type of cancer. Saddly, they didn't catch it until it was well advanced, he choose not to do chemo.
