Thanks for all your thoughts. I got the port installed. Finished my second cycle of chemotherapy late Sunday night and came home. Unfortunately, I noticed my breathing was difficult, particularly, when I tried to sleep. Came back to the emergency room yesterday and was readmitted to treat a blood clot in my lungs. I am back in the hospital and it is likely I will get to go home tomorrow. Hopefully, I wont need to stay longer or be readmitted until my next chemotherapy cycle after Christmas.

I came home Thursday. To continue to treat the clot, I give myself two blood thinner shots a day in addition to a shot to rebuild my immune system.

I was able to see some family last night. Events like that help to cure the monotony of my hospital stay. Additional events celebrating Christmas and my birthday, on Thursday, will prepare me for my next hospital stay on the 26th.

Had a great Birthday and Christmas! Got out of the house and ate at some nice restaurants for my Birthday. Got to spend time with family for Christmas.

Back in the hospital now for my third cycle. Change of scenery a bit as I now get to stay in the new James hospital. Room is a bit nicer, bigger TV, nicer view with outide wall all window, and feels roomier. Goal is to be out by Thursday.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! I know I am going to be watching some bowl games and NFL.
